Okay, so there's probably a book plot similar to this already, but everyone has like a twin or archenemy or soulmate or something like that, someone they're connected to. And whenever one of them gets hurt, only the other has the cut or burn or bruise or whatever. No idea what the plot is, and still sketchy on the details, but there you have it.
