Basically about a guy with a demon-summoning portal in his closet. Here’s the prompt:

Ever since your parents had forced you to move with them to this old, creaky house, you’ve been feeling… anxious. The walls moan without wind. The stairs talk with no one on them. The floorboards scratch together, regardless of the people walking across them. All in all, this house is wack. It’s not until one night, while you’re laying in your bed watching TV, do you actually have a reason to scream. Long, sharp noises of claws on wood are resonating from your closet…
Just as you rise from your position and shakily step to the door, a phrase fills your head.
Your hand is hovering over the doorknob, and the sentence is clear as day.
Curiosity killed the cat.

Hello and welcome to another roleplay because I don’t already have way too much on my plate :D
Haha sarcasm.

How bout some rules?

First, all of andrew (Our Supreme Lord and Overseer)’s rules (of course)
Have fun! Although the storyline may seem serious, mess around! Twist it! It’s your story, too.
Cursing is ok, just please omit insulting another writer.
Please be active. I know sometimes it’s difficult, and I’ll allow absences, but I want to have a successful roleplay.
Romance is ok, just please omit from writing R-rated content.
Please make your character something other than a shy, dark, stand-offish emo person. I mean, your character can be sad, sure, but I want something that my character can actually build off of. So if your character is someone that never wants to socialize with anyone and just wants to be alone, maybe this isn’t the rp for them. (Thank you for abiding by this and I’m really sorry if it seems harsh. If you want to use a character along these lines, then we can probably work something out, don’t worry).
Lastly, don’t take this too seriously. I’m just here to mess around, honestly :D

My character:

Name: Tikishi
Nickname(s): Tiki
Age: Eternal, but like 17 in human-years
Gender: Female s/h
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Physical Appearance: Tiki’s skin is a light mauve, leaning slightly more crimson than purple. Her big eyes are a piercing orange and her hair is a dark brown, always up in a messy bun. Her horns look like that of an antelope, though matching the color of her skin instead. Her body is lanky with slight curves and she stands at about 5’5.” Her tail is thin and adorns a small hook at the end, possessing a few golden piercings.
Personality: Extremely sarcastic and flirtatious. She has no sense of another person’s comfort and will tend to make innuendos even at inappropriate times. She possesses little to no filter and can always reply with a witty remark.
Backstory (optional): Tiki died a long time ago, her soul used to reincarnate as a devil. She remembers nothing from her previous life. Now, finding the old house, she likes to cause trouble and scare people with her shenanigans.
Other (optional): One of her horns is cracked, but not fully broken. She tends to wrap it in a cloth as to prevent further damage.
Open to romance?: Totally

@PrettyLittlePyro

Name: Kaden Morrigan

Nickname(s): Kade

Age: 19

Gender: Male

Sexuality: Super duper bisexual

Physical Appearance: My baby has a shock of untidy black hair, which constantly looks like he runs his hands through it, then doesn't comb it. His skin is sun-tanned and almost a gold color. He has high cheekbones and large lips, which actually look good on him. His eyes are a deep, piercing gold color, a little bit like melted honey and sunlight combined. He is strong and lithe, like a fighter, and he has a lot of muscle, and a drool-worthy body. He is tall, about 6'2'', and loves to tower over people. He can look very intimidating, and always uses his looks as a weapon.

Personality: Kade hates everyone. Or, at least he says he does. He is really actually the sweetest thing you'll ever meet, if you give him the chance. He likes to put out that scary-guy vibe to make himself seem tough, and only the glimmerings of pain in his eyes can tell you that he's not as strong as he'd like to be. He can be funny, but mostly remains sarcastic and rude, doing his best to push people away and make them hurt, so they'll leave him alone. He doesn't know how real love should be, and so thinks that it doesn't exist. He has a viscious streak as wide as the ocean, so watch out.

Backstory (optional): Kade's mother died when he was young. He doesn't remember his father, although his older sister Kindle does, and she says he's lucky he never knew them. She also calls him her little flower half the time, so he doesn't know how reliable the information is. He bounced back and forth around the foster care system before eventually being adopted by two people who dind't know how to deal with a child of their life depended on it. They had only adopted him as a dare, and not even with his sister at that, who graduated from the system a year ago, but couldn't adopt him herself. When the house he was in accidentally burned down, he got blamed, and ran.

Other (optional): N/A

Open to romance?: Absolutely

Tikishi dragged her claws across the door, insanely bored with being in a dark closet for so long. Plus, she had been watching the boy who decided to invade her house… and she kind of liked him. He seemed mysterious and dark, which made Tiki want to meet him all the more.
But of course, she had to find a somewhat funny way to do it. So, scaring him was her basic plan. The stereotypical scratching at doors when no one is home, and the occasional noise done with no explanation.
It was roughly three in the morning? Maybe. Tiki really kept no sense of time. She just knew that the man was still awake, when other humans wouldn’t be.
She flopped on her back, letting out a sort of growl. It sounded less feminine than one would have thought from her figure. The floorboards creaked and groaned as she waited for the man to investigate.

@PrettyLittlePyro

Kade was seriously getting tired of all the noise. Just because the house had been cheap did not mean that it had to creak so much. Seriously, he debated selling it again. He was pretty sure someone was trying to convince him that the house was haunted. He rolled his eyes. As if he would believe that.

He was sitting on the couch, watching TV, immensly bored. He ate popcorn and stared at the screan, a blank look at his face. He wasn't really immersed in the show, he just needed to keep his mind off of all that was happening. He was tired. So tired.

And because he was tired, his nerves were on edge. When the sound of claws being dragged down a door sounded through the house, he sat up from his slouch with a start, heart pounding. Scowling, he stood. This was the last straw.

His heart pounded with fear as he moved toward the closet, buthe refused to let himself show fear.

He jerked open the closet door.

“Well hello there, handsome,” Tiki said, grinning up at the man from upside down. She elongated the word ‘hello,’ sarcasm lacing every word she spoke. She had no confidence that he could actually hear her. You see, her form acted sort of like a ghost. Many people couldn’t see nor hear her, only circumstances she inflicted.
She was very excited, but barely showed it. Instead, she slipped her arms behind her head and crossed her legs over one another. As she bent her head backward, her horns scraped into the wooden floor, yet she didn’t seem to mind.
It was nice to finally see this man. Talk to him. It had been a while since anyone had lasted this long, especially with her stupid shenanigans.
It’s also been so long since someone could see her. She wondered if he could.
She had been this kind of poltergeist demon for too long. Many people who came into this house actually physically could not see her. Maybe this was the lucky guy. Heck, that would be wonderful.

@PrettyLittlePyro

The remote in Kade's hand crunched. He glanced down at his hand and noticed that, in his surprise, he had squeezed it so hard it had broken. He noticed aimlessly that his hand was bleeding, but he couldn't feel the pain.

He gaped at the figure in the closet. "W-who are you?" He composed himself, smoothing his features into a mask of bored, if slightly annoyed, calm. "What do you want? And why the fuck are you in my house?"

He wondered what she was. Normally, he would think it was some teenager, out to prank him, but she was different somehow. For one thing, she had horns. Horns. For another, she was partially transparent.

Tiki was astonished. She immediately pushed herself into an upright position and spun around, her mouth gaping. Her heart was beating faster than she ever remembered it had. She found herself, for the first time in forever, feeling a sense of company. Even if he was slightly hostile.
Which, really, she couldn’t blame him.
“You can… see me? Hear me?” she asked. The thought to keep her cool barely even shot through her mind. She was just… happy? Impressed? She had no clue.
Tiki’s bright amber eyes glanced over his figure. Her tail flicked aimlessly behind her as she let out a genuine giggle. “And, not to mention, this is technically my house— I should be asking you that, man.”

@PrettyLittlePyro

"Of course I can see you," Kade said, exasperated. "What are you supposed to be, invisible?" He frowned. "What are you, anyway?"

He kindly ignored te comment about her house, although the claim made him growl inside. He raised an eyebrow, mask of clam having slid back into place. "Why are you in the closet, anyway? You could have chosen anywhere else. Why the closet?"

@PaperHats business

Tiki squinted. “I’m a demon. And no, but a lot of people can’t see me.”
She began to pick at her dagger-like claws, seeming to pay the man little attention.
“And why not the closet?” she muttered. “I don’t have to explain myself to you. I thought as a human you’d be nicer.”

@PaperHats business

“Well the last man that was here was quite sweet,” she uttered, twirling a strand of hair. “He couldn’t see me.. but he talked to himself often. I felt included.”
She shifted, crossing her legs and pulling her baggy shirt down. Her bright amber eyes wandered around the man’s facial features. He seemed oddly calm for the situation.
“But you can see me,” she said, her voice lighter. “It’s been a long time.”

@PrettyLittlePyro

(Alright! Sorry, I'm super negligent sometimes, it sucks.)

"That's almost really sad," Kade commented, raising an eyebrow. "What kind of conversations did he have with himself that was so interesting?"
