As each thing went into the stone pit, the fire rose higher, changing into different shade of blue and green. The priest and priestess started chanting louder
Adeline hasn't the faintest idea what they were saying, but she turned them out, worries overflowing in her mind. Absent mindedly, she found herself biting her fingernails
Teresa looked back to see a girl biting her nails in nervousness. She shifted in the group until she was beside her “hey, are you nervous or excited?” She whispered
"Possibly both?" Aceline replied, nervously. "I'm Aceline."

Sebastian could only see one other boy accompanying the priest as they approached the pit. Steeling his nerves, he reached into his pocket and pulled out a silver ring with a tiny crystal on it. The last thing I have of her. He squeezed his eyes shut and dropped it into the pit.
Lovino drops his dagger into the pit knowing that it won't burn obsidian never does. 'may I have a good life' he thinks not knowing why. He smiles and thinks back to the children then he clutches his fist 'i've got to do this for them' he walks away to stand next to another boy.
The more things were added, the higher the flame grew. The priests hands started glowing and all items put in the fire floated in the air then burst in to flames. A few minutes later, each item disintegrated and the dust settled around the pit. “The spirits are restless, answer their call, Mages you will become, but that is not all. A Shadow lord waits, hiding within fear, intertwined are your fates, enter the home of the gods.” they chanted. Teresa listened and o th prophecy and furrowed her brow but what does it mean. All around them, people were looking around in shock, there hadn’t been a prophecy in almost 80 years. The last prophecy came at the time of the Emperor of Souls. With his fall, cane the fall of the Master mages.
Lovino gasped. His dagger the only thing he had left from his mother before she dies was just burned before his very eyes. He started to twitch his hands at his sides were clenched. He started to cry a little bit hoping that no one else noticed. 'why'he thought not hearing the prophecy only feeling the rush of anger overcome him but he stayed still 'don't be stupid do it for the children you idiot.'
(The ashes play a part in the cave, you do get it back but it’s a little ’evolved’)

Aceline let a silent tear role down her face.
Teresa kept a hard face but on the inside she was crying, that was her mother’s dress. “The spirit call, the spirits call!” They chanted. Teresa went and stood beside the priestess and stood silently. The priestess took the ashes and spread them around her. She made a marking on her face of the word ‘guide’ in Ancient Dragasian. She chanted louder and walked with Teresa to the entrance of the cave. Teresa walked in and immediately all sounds stopped. She couldn’t hear anything.
Back outside the cave, the Priest waited until his item turned to ash before he did the same to the first boy (you can do what you want from this point) and the priestess called the next in line while still chanting.
Aceline felt the rough, dusty feeling of Ash on her face, and the priestess lead her to the cave. The Priestess muttered a silent prayer, then left her alone. It was eerily quiet, and crystalline rocks jutted from the smooth obsidian walls. Then, with a rush, she heard something. Something almost like a snake's hiss. Aceline felt a stirring in her gut, and followed the noise.
Lovino felt the ash burn him but made no move mint until he herd cackling. He followed the noise in till he saw a black crystal with yellow cracking around in it.
Aceline felt like she was in a trance, slowly walking deeper into the cave. She finally stopped at a light, toxic green crystal. She felt a sense of familiarity reverberate through her. Poison. And wrapped around the crystal, though she shouldn't have received a spirit guide until she was 18, was a brightly colored coral snake.
(Hope its ok that I'm getting an SG right now. I only did that because someone is rp-ing as my SG)

Lovino looks at it “so this is what I’ll need my gloves for that trickey dude!” He says putting on the gloves and not to make a pun but they fit him like a glove! He picks up the crystal and looks at it the yellow crashing every where jumping out at him the walls anywhere it could hit. “So lighting huh?” He smiles if his mom were here she would yell in delight storms was her power and she would often use her dagger to direct the storm at something/one “ma I hope your seeing this!”
Aceline carefully picked up her crystal, realizing it matched her eyes. She held it respectfully in one hand, and exited the cave.
