Feeling calm, C.C. walks through the forest. Flashes of his past life go through his head. He remembers his little sister, Kamella. Such a sweet girl. He loved her. They both had loved to run around the castle, pranking the other royalty and helping out their friend Kris, who was a candle-changer. There was no-one he had loved more. Then he remembered that she had died at age 8. As C.C. walked through the woods to the highway, tears started dripping down his face. He shoved his mask onto his forehead so he could wipe his eyes, which were now glowing in pulses, like they always did while he was being healed. Then he saw a flash of orange flit in front of him. He looked around. A butterfly! He smiled weakly. Kamella had used to claim that "when she grew up, she'd become a butterfly!" He couldn't hold back any longer. He collapsed to the grass, tears now pouring down his cheeks, and he buried his face in his hands sobbing. He had killed her. He had killed his little sister. He could see her small figure in a pink frilly dress, covered in blood, slumped against a dungeon wall. Her normally sparkling blue eyes blank. Completely void of life. C.C. threw back his head and screamed. Long and loud. He howled at the full moon, hating it for being so beautiful. How could it be so beautiful, when life was so ugly?
Zero walked along until he heard C.C. scream in the distance. "The hell?" He stopped and turned towards it, wondering if they needed help.
Harper shrieked and clapped her hands over her heightened in sensitivity ears. That was a scream! The Wendigo took over again and off she was, howling at the same pitch and intensity. Her form transforms again
Zero considered for a moment going to check on them, but he shook his head and decided to follow the others to Isabella's house instead. He wouldn't be much help injured anyways.
C.C. shook and shivered as his healing was drawing to an end. "NO!!!" He screamed, collapsing in a heap, spasming uncontrollably. He couldn't go back to his insanity, HE COULDN'T!! The world started to fade from his eyes. He struggled to stay awake, knowing he was reverting back. Finally, the darkness took over. His screams continued for a few minutes after he went under.
…he had forgotten to put his mask back down.
Harper skittered forward and pauses at the sight of the body on the ground. The Wendigo tugs at the back of her mind but she shakes her skull and walks up to the guy (C.C.). She leans her skull down and huffs through the blank holes of the skull. She bends her head over his head
C.C. snaps awake, screaming in pain. He realizes his mask was up. "How'd that happen?" he murmured after pulling it down. Then he became aware of a strange creature huffing at him through a skull. "Who are you?" He asks, crossing his legs like a toddler. He didn't know, but every time he was healed, he seemed to revert to a child-like state of mind for the first day. Of course he never remembered this. He only remembered his chosen name, how to fight, and that he could never show his face. He stared curiously at the almost deer-like creature. It was almost pretty in it's own way.
Harper yelped and turned tail at his yell but trotted around a nearby tree. She then walked over to the guy, bobbing her head a bit like a horse.
Smile walked up to the door of the house - looking out at the woods wondering where the scream had come from. He knew he shouldn't run after it but he was tempted.
Zero groaned, feeling a bit dizzy and lightheaded from the bloodloss. He leaned against the wall and waited for Isabella.
Isabella walks up behind to two. "Smile, can you go see what that was…? And lets get you inside Zero…"
Criss-Cross tilted his head in curiosity, then decided to voice his opinion of the thing. "You're pretty." He told it, not sure if it understood or not. Then he reached a tentative hand out to it.
Harper starts and steps back. She shakes her skull and steps forward again, pressing the empty hole where the nose would be to the tips if his fingers slightly.
Isabella pauses, hearing something, either talk, or sound. "Wha…?"
Smile runs off into the woods towards the scream. He rushes through into a clearing and sees C.C. and Harper.
Harper's large deer-like ears swivel around toward the sound of Smile. Her skull jerks up to stare into the shadows where the dog was, unblinkingly.
Smile tilts his head at Harper.
C.C. turns his head towards what looked like a husky with a humanoid smile. "Hello." he said to the dog. "Who are you?"
Harper turns tail and trots over behind the nearest tree
(Sorry for not responding for a while, I was away from home)
Zero nodded and walked in with Isabella. He followed her, holding his hand close.
(Sorry! I was gone!)
Isabella forces a small smile. "This way…"
He followed along, looking around at the surroundings.
Harper stops behind it, transforms and comes back out again, slightly crouched. Her eyes where wider than what was normal but otherwise she looked semi human. (Im going to change her human look to this https://notebook-content-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/content/uploads/original/9f088343-fbf5-4ea3-ab16-269d10ea4b84.jpg?1532569862 )
Smile tilts his head at C.C. Wondering why C.C. didn't know him.
C.C. smiled under his mask. He stood up. He turned and walked away. His stomach was growling. All of his senses sharpened. He heard something rustling. It smelled yummy. He crouched, looking like a panther ready to pounce. And he did, right into the nearby wild blueberry bushes. When he found what he was looking for, he lifted his mask slightly to revealed his fanged mouth and crushed it's throat. He surfaced from the leaves shaking a rabbit as it screamed. Soon, the screamed died away, and he ripped into it's soft stomach. Then he turned and remembered there were others there. He held out the leftover bits of rabbit carcass and asked, like a hopeful little kid, "Does anyone what any?"
