(I'm in a lot of pain. I got my braces adjusted today. It sucks.)

(I get it I just got my bottom braces yesterday so my whole mouth hurts)

(yeah I can't really eat anything)

Mariko shrugged, "Jiji knows. I just.." the memories that she'd tried to bury for years were coming back, "I don't want to talk about it."

Micah nodded. "I understand. It's hard to share your secrets with other people." He smiled at her slightly. "I get that."

"Thanks." Mari stood up and looked towards the doors, "I suppose I'll get ready for my departure tomorrow."

"Oh, yeah that." He looked down at the ground, still leaning against the wall. "You..you're really leaving?"

"I promise that I'll come back." Mariko smiled at him, "It'll only take a few days or so." she crossed her arms, if I don't die.

"To do what? You never answered when I asked you." Micah was almost certain that he knew why she was leaving, but he wanted to make sure.

"To finish up some old business." she looked at the ground and uncrossed her arms.

"It's the scientists isn't it?" Micah asked. "If it is about them, I'm coming with you. You aren't doing this alone."

Mariko kept staring at the ground, unsure how to answer.
