Isobel's nostrils flared when she saw him walking around. "Xavier Burne, what the hell do you thi k you're doing out of bed?!" She stomped her way over to him. "Has it not crossed your mind that you're seriously injured and that if you keep this up you're going to lose function in your arm?!"
(I have a whole bunch of studying I have to do but I really dont wanna do it 😭)
"Whoa, I must have been sleep walking." He turned around so he wasn't facing her. "I best be on my way now." How did she see me, it's like she has some kind of Xavier radar on her.
"Sleep walkers just mutter nonsense to themselves. Nice try though." She grabbed his uninjured arm. "What the hell are you doing out of bed?" She repeated her question.
"Would you believe me if I said I was possessed?" He smiled innocently. He still didn't understand why she cared so much. Was his injury somehow going to ruin her life? Although, he wasn't going to lie, having someone care wasn't that bad.
She gave him the "are you stupid" look. "What were going to do is, I'm going to take you back to the infirmary and you're going to stay there. If I have to sit on you to make you stay then that's what I'll do alright?"
"Isobel, I though we talked about this." Xavier shook his head. "I'm in love with someone already." He thought back to the moment in the tree. "Even if she doesn't feel the same." He mumbled looking at the ground. Stay positive Xavier. Its hard to stay positive when your heart basically just got crushed.
"You're unbelievable!" She threw her and up in exasperation. "Here I am, concerned about your health, since you obviously aren't and someone needs to worry, and you think this is the right time to start joking?! I swear to god I'm going to kill you one day."
"Okay.. I get it come on, let's go." He started down the hall towards the medical room. He was sure Isobel was going to follow him to make sure he actually was going to where he needed to be.
Isobel followed behind him, glaring at his back. She was muttering about how foolish and stupid he was, loud enough so that he could hear.
How much is she actually going to call me stupid? "I get it Isobel I'm stupid. I just wanted to spend some time with Claira." Not like Isobel is going to care about that, she'll probably just call him stupid even more.
"Well you could have spent time with her I'm the infirmary. If she's the one for you and all that, she would have made sure you stayed put. And now I have to pick up the job and make sure you dont render yourself completely useless."
"Claira is a busy girl, she doesn't have enough time to come to the infirmary to see me." He entered the door and got back in his bed and sighed. Now he is going to be stuck here for a while.
"The right person will make time for you." Isobel sat down in the chair next to his bed. She was going to stay there until he got released, to make he didn't leave before then.
(Claira is casually sleeping in an empty abandoned treehouse.

"You mean…. someone like you?" He grinned. Isobel was way to much fun to mess with. Xavier enjoyed her reactions very much.
Isobel snorted. "Why would I ever want to be with someone as stubborn and idiot as you are?" She picked at her nails. "But I am serious Xavier. The right person won't drag you around everywhere. They make time for you."
"Are you hinting that Claira might not be the right one? And for your information I'm a joy to be around and I keep things fun, so you would be missing out, and I'm not always like this you know, I am serious when I need to be." Xavier looked over at Isobel. Was she seriously going to sit here with him the whole time? Because it will give people the working impression and she obviously hates the idea of being with him, so it might cause some trouble for the both of them.
"I'll let you figure out on your own if Claira isn't the one for you. I was just giving some advice. I do have some experience." She rolled her eyes at him. "When have you ever been serious? I have only ever seen you act like a thirteen-year-old boy." She glared at him.
"Then you don't know me as well as you think, Isobel." He snapped back. He hated when people took him lightly and thought of him as some joke. People could go ask Andion or Victoria, they know how hard he tries to keep this place together. He maybe doing it under the table so most people don't know how he really is, but he doesn't take his job lightly. "If I wasn't serious do you think I would have this injury, no. Its because I was serious that I stayed behind to fight to keep everyone safe, that includes you."
"Even though it's not your job? You're not a knight. It's not your job to go around gallantly fighting everyone. If you had let the guards do their job and hid like everyone else you wouldn't be in here. You can be off chasing your girl or causing more ruckus for me to clean up and yet here you are!" She exclaimed. She glared at the nurses who shushed her.
"I've trained with Andion since I was young I am more than capable of becoming a guard if I wanted. I chose not to though so I can stay closer to Victoria." Did she not know that even Andion got hurt? And he is the best guard they have, it doesn't matter if you are the best, you can still get hurt. "Why do you care anyway? If I'm such a nuisance to you, you should be happy that I'm hurt so I can stay out of your way. Honestly you would probably be happier if I was gone!" He stopped and thought about what he just said. "No, I'm sorry, I didn't mean that. I just have a lot on my mind and you lecturing me is not helping."
She stared at him for what seemed like forever. "Is that what you think? That I don't care about you? Of course, I care about you damn it. Why else would I try to do my damned hardest to keep you out of trouble? Why else would I go around and clean up your messes so no one finds out it was you who did it? I care about you. As much as you irritate me and make me want to strangle you I don't want you gone."
People were seriously going to get the wrong idea about them if she says stuff like that. And now the nurses were probably going to spread rumors all over. "Like I said I didn't mean to say that. I know you care and I'm thankful for that and all do." Xavier leand back and put his hands together. "Seriously, I am sorry." It was just weird having someone who cared so much. Claira and Victoria cared, but sometimes it didn't show well. "Thank you."
(Does Claira have a rival? Haha. I'm just kidding.)
(Lol, she hasn't spent enough time with people to have a love interest yet. It doesn't help that there aren't a lot of people on.)
Isobel huffed and leaned back in the chair. She ran her hand through her disheveled hair. She was still in her ballgown. She hadn't had any time to change what with trying to find Claira and then trying to find Xavier and then yelling at him and then dragging him back to the infirmary. She was exhausted. "You're welcome."
