Isobel, look how big you've gotten." Why was she in the hallway? "We just want to be alone." He winked. "Of you know what I mean." He winked, holding the jello behind his back. Xavier started inching away. Why now, of all the times did she have to show up?

Isobel raised an eyebrow. "Alone? If I didn't know any better, I'd think you two were frolicking." She jutted out her hip and put her hands on them. "Now what are you two really up to?" She asked, giving him the look.

"A child like you wouldn't understand." He patted her head. "How about you go found Eliot and Victoria." Isobel used to come to the castle when she was young, but as much as Eliot though. "Let's go." He whispered to Claira.

Isobel grabbed his ear and yanked him down to her eye level. "No. What we're going to do is go back to the ball room and that is where you two will stay, where I will have my eyes on you the entire night." She let go of his ear and grabbed onto his arm, digging her nails in. "Now, would you escort us back to the ballroom." She had a fake smile on her face.

(then it's Ruby's time to shine)
As Xavier was being dragged by the ear back into the ballroom, Ruby's eyes fell on the rather large plate of unfinished green jello. Winking at him, she took it from him just as Isobel wheeled him around to check for anything suspicious.

"Isobel!" His voice became cold. "What gives you the right to tell me what to do?" If he wanted to do something fun with Claira he will. "You're not my mother nor the queen. You have no authority over me you're only a year older, I dont need to answer to you." He didn't like bringing this side out, he liked making people smile and have fun. "So." He yanked his arm away, which made her scratch him and it started to bleed. "If you'll excuse us."

Ruby had signaled for Vladimir to get more jello. He and a waiter came out, with two carts loaded to the top with jello. They waited outside the door of the ballroom for Xavier and Claria to come out, which they undoubtedly would.
"What are you doing?" Vladimir whispered to Ruby.
"Having fun, that's what. The sky's the limit when it comes to jello." Ruby whispered back.

Isobel clenched her jaw. "Oh I don't think so. Knowing you, you're about to go do something very stupid that will end up with you being in a lot of trouble. And it''s funny that you keep calling me a child while you're the one acting like it." She crossed her arms. "Now you either come with me or I will go retrieve the queen and you can answer to her."

A few minutes passed. "Wait here," Ruby told Vladimir, sashaying into the ballroom, where she found Isobel scolding Xavier.
"IIIIIsobelllll! He-llo!" Ruby cut between the two. "Have you seen the cake? There are no excuses! Come with me!" Dragging her by the arm away from Xavier, she led her to the confections table.

"You can get Tori if you want." Xavier grabbed Claira's hand and dragged her away. He had no time for this, he had a prank to execute. "Sorry you had to see that." He didn't want Claira to see that side of him. It was embarrassing, and Isobel was right, he was a bit childish. But, what was wrong with wanting to have some fun?

A few minutes later, Ruby caught up to them, red in the face, smiling. "Oh, that was grand. Now, in payment-" She took a plate of jello and waved them off, winking. "You'd better hurry, Isobel will be hot on your tail."

"You've always been the fun one." He smiled taking off with the jello to the kitchen. "Man, that girl tries me out." Why was Isobel so on him all the time?
