"I guess. I prefer sunrises or sunsets." She responded.
"I guess. I prefer sunrises or sunsets." She responded.
"Oh, right, not everyone sees blue," Cye's face started to burn, "I forget sometimes," he admitted and ate a french fry.
"You're fine." Sage opened the lid of her milkshake, she dipped a fry in it then ate it.
"So, I know this might be a little hard, but….. could you try describing the color red for me?" Cye asked.
“Sure, I’ll try.” She thought for a moment. “It’s generally used to represent two very different things. Love and Anger. Anger being a darker shade and love a lighter shade.” She tapped the seat. “This is red.”
"Oh," Cye nodded, trying to envision the color, but all he could see, as always, was blue, "Well, blue is a calming color," Cye started to try and explain to pay back Sage for trying to explain red for him, "The sky is blue, but you probably already knew that, and yeah," Cye shrugged, "I'm really bad at explaining things, sorry!" he smiled shyly.
Sage smiled sincerely "You're fine. Colors are hard to explain." She said
"True," Cye agreed.
"I guess we'll hopefully see for ourselves eventually." Sage said.
"Yeah," Cye sighed, "You know, sometimes I feel like just kissing everyone to see if they're my soulmate," he admitted, "It's probably pretty stupid, but oh well."
"I wouldn't blame you. I want to but It's hard for me to find love for people." Sage admitted.
"Yeah," Cye laughed, "Also, it'd be pretty awkward for the other person, especially if they weren't my soulmate, and there's a 99.9% chance they aren't."
Sage laughed a little. "It would be very awkward if that happened. But there's a 0.1% chance it's the right person. Sometimes you meet them and are totally oblivious to it." She said.
"Yeah, it might be worth the risk," Cye laughed, "But, oh well. I guess the day will come when it comes."
"Yeah." Sage ate one of her chicken strips.
Cye chewed on his hamburger and wondered if he should just start kissing every random person he met.
Sage wondered for a moment about the people she had met. 'Could they have been my soulmate without me knowing?' She thought. She looked over at Cye and had the same thought about him. She abandoned the thought and drank some of her milkshake.
"Do you ever wonder if you'll never meet your soulmate? Or maybe that your not your soulmate's soulmate? If that makes any sense," Cye asked after the thoughts had crossed his mind.
"Yeah, actually. Like what if you find your soulmate but you don't love them or vise versa." Lira said.
"Yeah, that's pretty much what I was thinking," Cye said and took a sip of his coffee.
"Great minds think alike." Sage said.
"Well, I'm not exactly a great mind," Cye smirked and shrugged.
"Sure you are!" Sage said.
"Yeah, tell that to my teacher," Cye sighed.
"I bet you're exaggerating." Sage said.
