Kenzie smiled at the information and gave Henry a quick wave goodbye before closing the door. She walked back to her room and grabbed her phone from the bed, opening her notes app so that she could make a list. There were plans to be made!

Hunter rubbed his forehead, a headache eating his brain away.
“Lady Rosaline is allergic to tulips,” Hunter groaned. “Is anyone allergic to sunflowers?”
“Er, yes, sir,” Henry replied immediately, flipping through pages. “Sir Chambers is allergic to sunflowers, Lady Diane is allergic to tulips as well. Lady Sofia, Sir Brandon is allergic to daisies, as well as Sir Hellon, and—“
“Fine, fine, I get it!” Hunter exclaimed in exhaustion. “I’ll think about the flowers, never mind them for now. Did you, however, put up the masks on the tables like I instructed?”
“Yes, sir,” Sofia replied in a hard voice, looking professional. “That idea was brilliant, sir. The sapphire blue masks shine in the dark, and their grey-ish black feathers make them look lovely. That was a fabulous idea, sir.”
“Thank you, Sofia,” Hunter nodded. “And the cutlery? Has it been delivered yet?”
“No, sir, not yet,” Henry piped up. “There has been a slight delay, but it should arrive first thing tomorrow.”
Hunter nodded.
“Very well,” he said. “How are the chefs coming along, Kennedy?”
“Excellently, sire,” Kennedy replied just as professionally as Sofia. “We tried the desserts with fondant shaped as a mask, and like you said, it seemed to be perfect.”
“Good,” Hunter said. “I have a solution for our allergy problems. Assign each table to different nobles, and put up flowers on each table. Select flowers that each person assigned on that table isn’t allergic to, or dislikes. It wouldn’t be very wise to display flowers that cause allergic reactions, however, so we will use uncommon flowers. Cam, I believe you are good with bouquets? Henry will provide you with the list of flowers our guests might be allergic to. Follow those and come up with bouquets our guests can tolerate.”
“Yes, sir!” Cam exclaimed excitedly. “I will not let you down, sir!”
“The lights are set up, yes?” Hunter looked at Sofia, who nodded. “Would it look good if we added a few lanterns? I believe lanterns adding to dark lights would make it seem like a colder and give the party more of a cooler vibe.”
“I do not know for sure, sir, but we can try,” Sofia said.
“For now, work on what I’ve assigned to you. Jasper, I will assist you in your duties. Everyone, get back to work.”
“Yes, sir!”

(Callie, when you get back, I just wanted to let you know that I made a slight reference to Huntzie getting married in another RP…)

Kenzie sat at her table with the box of ribs in her hand. Having a sudden thought, she smiled and raced to her room to grab her phone. She sat back down at the table and lifted the box up slightly, making sure the food inside was visible in her camera. After taking a quick picture, she texted it to Hunter.

KENZIE: Thank you!!! ❤

(snickers Jasper her back here!!)

Kenzie sat at her table with the box of ribs in her hand. Having a sudden thought, she smiled and raced to her room to grab her phone. She sat back down at the table and lifted the box up slightly, making sure the food inside was visible in her camera. After taking a quick picture, she texted it to Hunter.

Hunter grinned when his phone buzzed and showed an incoming message from Kenzie.
Hunter: You're welcome, princess.
"SIr? Sir, we need you here," Henry called out, making Hunter sigh and slip his phone back into his pockets before walking off to help the servants.

(Sorry, but I'm gonna do a skip. Just one day, though.)
"Henry," Hunter muttered in exhaustion. "What should we do next?"
"Um, nothing, sir," Henry replied in a cheerful voice. "We've finished! At least, for the day. Now all we need to do is set up the guest rooms for the guests who plan to stay here. Also, the Carstairs and the Fares are arriving in about six hours, so for that, I had some of the servants clean up the guest rooms for them to reside in. Tomorrow, more guests will arrive, so it will be more troublesome for you. Your father will be going to his meeting in about an hour, so you can start resting and conserve your energy for we will have to make sure the guests coming by tomorrow are satisfied and will not leave before the ball in two days. I've assigned groups of three to each room, so if we're lucky, we'll be done with all of that by twelve am in the morning."
"Are you making sure they get breaks?" Hunter inquired.
"Yes, sir," Henry replied. "I have had them rotate. Every time a group is done with the task, another group will take their place."
Hunter nodded.
"Good job,"
"Thank you, sir."

Kenzie tried to concentrate in her classes for the day, but her anticipation for later was making her impatient. She continually checked her phone for the time, and she was down to fifteen minutes left of class. With a sigh, she looked over the list of things she needed to do and grab from her house before heading to the McArthur estate to surprise Hunter.

She checked the time again, ten minutes left of class…

Hunter slammed his head on the desk.
"God, I miss Kenzie…" he murmured, his eyes closed. His hair was disheveled and the dark circles under his eyes didn't seem to vanish. He had to look his utmost best for his guests, so for that, he needed to sleep.
With his head on his desk, Hunter slowly sank into the darkness. Before he fell asleep, Kenzie's smiling face flashed into his eyes, pulling a smile on his lips.

(Aw, Hunter. 😕 Kenzie's gonna be so sad when she notices his lack of sleep.)

As soon as class was finished, Kenzie walked out as quickly as she could without running.

When she got back to her apartment, she rifled through her clothes, looking for something nice to wear. She finally decided on a gray sweater-dress, black legging, a nice black jacket, and tall gray boots. Looking in the mirror, she decided that a bit of mascara would look nice, so she quickly swiped the brush over her lashes.

Grabbing the basket out of her closet and the food out of the fridge, she packed everything she needed to surprise Hunter. The present she had left in her car so that she wouldn't forget it, and she was very excited to give it to him.
