(Hi again, glad you're back, and sorry!)

Griffin nodded determindely.

Lia wiped away the tears falling down her cheeks, and Jace looked over at her as they followed Ana, Griffin and Leo.
"Jace, how many more of our friends are going to die?" She asked. Jace just took a deep breath.
"No one. No one else. I won't let anyone get to you, or anyone else. I promise."

Ana watched as Alice ran ahead, slowly disappearing down the hall. Curse my short legs.

Leo sprinted after Alice, Ella right behind him. They remained right behind Ana and Eli, Jace and Lia right behind them. "We have to get out of here," Ella pointed out quietly. Leo nodded.
"We'll do whatever it takes to do so."

Alice disappeared fully. Ana stopped running after her, catching her breath. "We…we lost..her…"

Leo caught up to Ana. "We'll get her, Ana. She'll pay."

Lia stopped running as well, panting. "What are we… what are we going to do?"

Griffin was blinded by tears. Eli…. His best friend……………… Gone.

Forever.

Leo shrugged. "I don't know. We know who murdered the police officers. I guess we could talk to Haile and the ringmaster some more, find out as much as we can?"
(@lilaccskies I'm so sorry I just realized i completely forgot about Alice knowing Jace and Lia!)

Eli shrugged. "Dunno Lia. I'm a ghost now, so I can't do much."

Ella came up behind Eli. "Looks like I have a companion now."

Jace clapped a hand to his head in frustration. "Oh shoot, I totally forgot they were still here."

(Haha, it's fine! I wasn't here for the fight scene, so we couldn't have done anything with it)

Eli grinned. "That you do, Ella." He shook his head. I hope no one else joins us…

Ella turned to Jace indignantly. "Excuse me?!" She weakly hit him around the head.

"Not you!" Jace said with a small chuckle. "The ringmaster and Haile."

Ella snickered. "Right, sorry." Seriousness returned quickly, though, as she met Eli's worried gaze, and they shared a thought. Let's hope no one else ends up like this.

Eli nodded at Ella, understanding what she was thinking. "We need to get out of here." He realized that his voice sounded more echoey than before.

"Please.", Griffin croaked in agreement.

Leo ran a hand through his hair. "And how are we going to do that?"

Ana shook her head. "I don't know. I guess we could just check to see if any of the exits are open?"

"We can't just let Alice get away. I'm not saying we go after her again, not at all, but you two," Jace said, turning to Eli and Ella. "Could you find her?"

Ella looked to Eli questioningly. "I imagine so."

He shrugged. "I guess so. It's not like I can die again, right?" Eli looked at Ella.

Ella shook her head. "It's too soon for that joke," Ella deadpanned.
