Mel stood off to the side, simply observing, his gaze eerie and his body spookily still as he watched a Hephaestus girl walking out with a ruined piece of machinery. He had followed Sierra back a little bit, just curious about this new kid.
She plopped down on the ground and looked over to the forest who the hell are you he zeroed in on the boy he’d never seen before “who the hell are you?”
"Ben. Where is this place?"
"New York," Sierra sighed. She threw the dagger at the ground. As it was falling, she wished for it to break and when it struck the ground, the blade shattered like ice. She shoved her hands into her hoodie's pockets and walked towards the Mess Hall. When she entered, the crowd became quiet and all watched her with a hateful gaze. She sat down and a simple bowl of cereal and bottle of orange juice appeared before her. She walked to the hearth, spooning a few mouthfuls of the breakfast into the fire. "Hecate," she mumbled. The flames flashed violet and Sierra returned to her seat. Her siblings all shot her dirty looks and scooched away from her. Sierra was halfway through her meal when she looked up and saw Chiron staring her down. He gestured for the daughter of Hecate to join him. As much as she knew Chiron hated her, Sierra figured it was a good idea to see what the centaur needed.
"Yes sir?" She asked, trying and failing to mask the bitterness in her voice.
Ben noticed Chiron and walked up to him.
"Sorry, sir, but I think I'm lost…" He had the scent of demigod all over him
Chiron sighed and looked at the boy. "You are a demigod, Ben. I'll give you a proper introduction to the camp after breakfast. For now, join the Hermes cabin." He gestured to the largest table packed with the most kids. It was still a considerable amount less than when Sierra was at CHB the first time. The centaur sighed. "Travis, Conner! Stop trying to make catapults out of your spoons and the hair ties you stole from the Aphrodite cabin." The Aphrodite cabin gasped and glared at the Hermes table. The two oldest looking campers at the table sighed and shrunk into their seats. "As for you Sierra, I have some questions to ask you. Later though. At 1 PM can you meet me at the Big House." He noticed Sierra's worried expression, no matter how she tried to hide it. "You aren't in trouble, young one. You may return to your table."
Zeus' symbol, the lightning bolt, began to glow on Ben's head.
"What's happening? How do you know my name?" He asked, very scared.
"AM I DYING?"
(Thanks for taking over for Chiron)
Eh she could pass on breakfast she would rather not deal with the hastle of food. She started to disassemble the blade hopefully she could salvage the work she ignored the boy he was sort of being annoying and it was nothing she hadn’t seen before
Sierra looked at the bolt, her breath hitched in her throat.
"Oh my gods," Chiron gasped and the whole camp had seemed to freeze. They stared wide eyed at the symbol above the boy's head, their mouths open like fish. "Camp Half-Blood, I am honored to announce Ben Rafter, Son of Zeus."
He blushed. Zeus, where did he hear that before?
"Wait, Greek mythology is real?" He said
( @Tired-but-passionate maybe you wanna join? It's about percy jackson…)
(Sure :) I’ll get a character up probably tomorrow)
(Yay!! Btw, Ben, my character, has just been claimed by Zeus)
(You can join but could you not go over my head next time @Divine-Irish-Potato-the-2nd! )
Nikoli was just sitting in the shadows, eating the sandwich they stole from some Hermes kids when they got a wicked idea. It wasn't actually that wicked, but it was still pretty good. So, once they finished their sandwich, they began to walk the shadows until they were right by the Hecate table. Nikoli popped out of the darkness and sat down next to Sierra. "Hey." Was all they said as they stole some food off her plate.
Phobos was sitting in a corner of the pavilion, eating his food. When he heard the new kid was a son of Zeus, he only looked up with disdain. ‘Not another one…’ He continued to eat. He wasn’t sitting at a table because minor gods’ children who had less than three members were expected to sit together. He found that unjust, and so he sat on the floor every day in defiance.
(Pft, Nyx doesn't even get a cabin, plus in the books Percy and Annebeth ran into her and had a not so pleasent experiance, so there's some deep hate from them that's probably rubbed off on the camp. Half the time Nikoli just finds somewhere to sleep and yoinks the shadows to make a blanket)
(Oh dear, when Mel realizes this, they’re going to be PISSED)
(They're just kinda vibing, plus, that's the reason they know about all the abandoned places)
(Would anyone be willing to spar with my character?)
Mya gave up on fixing the broken machinery and tossed it on her workbench, she needed to let off some steam. She started to walk over to the arena, maybe someone would be willing to spar for a bit
(Mine would! He’d be used for a sparring opponent a lot due to the fact he never says no.)
(Nikoli would be fine with sparing as well, but they use a battle axe, so be warned)
Mel finished his food and headed for the arena, checking over his Kopis “Delilah” as he had named it, intending to just spar against the dummies.
"Where do I sit, sir?" he asked Chiron
Nikoli saw Mel leaving and stood up, tapping Sierra's shoulder. "I'm gonna go bother Mel, met us in the forest when capture the flag starts?" Then, they headed back into the shadows and walked to the arena, grabbing their battle axe from who knows where and popping out next to Mel. "Howdy."
