Phoebe was quiet and emotionless. She hasn't known Ryker very long though it felt like a lifetime. All she wanted to do was be reunited with him. But she knew that wouldn't happen, well, at least not yet. It depended on what this "master" did with them. She gave a weak "yeah" to answer Teri's question.
Teri got whapped upside the head for talking. She bit her cheek to prevent herself from going off on them. Keep it together.
Elizabeth nodded and suppressed the urge to kick a monster because if she did, she would be very injured. Or something.
(Okay so… I’m just gonna be the master and monsters and stuff because if we’re keeping this alive, I want to actually do something)
(Who should the master be? I was thinking a retaliating minor god, like Hecate or something)
(Can it not be Hecate? But otherwise that idea sounds good.)
Mihala held back tear from the pain on her wrists. She wasn't sure about the others but the rope or whatever the stuff was, was tied really tightly.
(Who should the master be? I was thinking a retaliating minor god, like Hecate or something)
(Oh, I was thinking like a giant or a Cyclops or something. Cause I was thinking that this wasn't the end ofbthe quest or anything. This was just a part in it.)
(Oh, like a mini side quest to help the quest? :O)
(Oh, like a mini side quest to help the quest? :O)
(Well, I was gonna have the master evil and they have to defeat him in order to get to the end of the quest whatever that may be)
Kaden ran his thumb over her knuckles, trying to keep her calm. He was surprised he was able to feel his thumb, as the rope was cutting off most of his circulation. They were pushed into a large opening and there sitting on the throne, was what he guessed was their "master."
Elizabeth felt Kaden's thumb go over knuckles. His presence was reassuring. He was something she could hold onto. She grasped his hand. Or attempted to at least. Elizabeth stumbled a little as they were pushed but managed to not fall on her face.
(I would like to thank Sly for helping me. ;u;)
The master was shrouded in a curtain of shadows cast by dimly lit torches along the walls. Slumped in a heap on the ground beside their throne, was a figure that was only just visible in the light. The figure’s back was facing the group, but they were visibly male. The wounds that were once present on him were now invisible, save from the scars that had already been living on his skin. The master’s smile mimicked the devil’s - a look that could strike fear into even the bravest of men. “My my my, what have we here?” they said, their strangely calming voice ricocheting off the walls. “Six demigods, all alone in the labirynth? Who’s your leader? Don’t be afraid, just step a little closer so I can hear the reason we shouldn’t, to put it nicely, send you to the underworld.”
(I'm not going to be on much today, I have work, but I can be on more tomorrow.)
(And that was awesome! If only everyone was on then it would be even better.)
Kaden stepped in front if Elizabeth, hiding her and completely from view. He wouldn't let anything happen to her. His eyes glanced at the heap beside him, he could only guess at what poor soul the master had entrapped. He turned his gaze back to the master. That sinister smile made him want to shadow travel them all out of there that instant. He wanted to take them far away from there. If only he could. If not for the prophecy he would. He went to take a step forward when Phoebe walked up to the master instead. He prayed that she wouldn't sat anything that would get them killed.
~~~
Phoebe felt nothing. She was numb, or so she thought. When she looked at the master she couldn't stop the fear from worming back into her. She stepped forth when the master called for their leader. If Ryker were here he would've stepped up. Now Kaden had taken up the position but it didn't look as though he wanted to move from his girlfriend. So it was left to her. She stepped forward and bowed to the master. "We are not here by choice, rather a prophecy has sent us." When in doubt, best not to lie. Most can sniff out lies and they'll kill you for it.
The figure on the ground twitched. That voice was familiar…
“I didn’t expect any less,” the master said. They glanced to the figure on the ground, and their smile grew. They looked back to the group of demigods. “What idiot would enter the labyrinth without being sent by fate? What are you here for?” They stepped off the throne, stepping forward so that the dim light showed some of their features. It only made them look more terrifying.
Wendi quivered. She was scared to her bones at the moment. The mist, something she had little control over, her only weapon.
Teri studied this master. She didn't like the looks of him.
Mihala couldn't stop looking at the 'thing'. Even though it was barely visible, it was like something you can't take your eyes off because it is so scary.
"I would tell you if I knew, but alas, I'm not sure. The prophecy was vague, even by the Oracle's standards. We are going where the labyrinth take a in hopes it will lead us where we need to go." Phoebe always was a sweet talker. She knew how to please people. She was also excellent at getting out of situations, though she did use charmspeak. But she wouldn't attempt on this master. He may know she tried to use it on him and kill her and her company. And while she didn't care about her life, her friends didn't deserve death. They deserved to live their life.
“Do you remember this prophecy? I may be able to… provide assistance.” The girl in front of them may be convincing, but the master used fear as a persuader. It proved to be much better than other tactics.
The figure twitched again. Something was stirring inside of him, waking him up. He felt strange, almost inhuman. Every inch of his body was weak, he couldn’t even open his eyes. Small movements every now and then was all he could achieve.
"As gracious as your offer is, I have to decline. We know our prophecy. It would be stupid and ignorant for us to forget it." Phoebe spoke, subconsciously moving a step back. She had decided very quickly that if she were to die, she didn't want it to be the master's hand. She could find some other way, one that didn't involve being crushed or eaten alive. As the figure beside the master moved, she was barely able to contain her since and shuffled a step or two more away. She didn't want to know what hideous creature the master. She didn't want to find out either. "We really do need to be on our way. The longer we dally, the less tome we have of completing our quest."
"Of course," the master smiled wickedly. "I wouldn't want to hold you up, but my monsters haven't eaten in a while. It's not everyday a free snack enters my domain…"
Phoebe smiled. "Of course, I understand. Though you must know, many have tried to kill us and they have found themselves back in the Tartarus. So you may try but you will not succeed."
