Age: 16
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Pansexual
Godly Parent: Hecate
Weapon(s): Two twin celestial bronze daggers
Powers (if any): She can control the mist

Over the years, she's also learned to stand up for herself. She's no where close to how she was when she first came to camp.
Short Backstory: She's been at camp since she was 11 and refuses to talk about where she was before that. So that's all you're getting.
(Ok thanks! Fyi, I can probably get a character up later tonight or tomorrow, but if you get a starter up sometime later, I might not be able to reply until the end of the week. Just so you know.)
The gods have been mating with humans for eons, creating a breed of demigods. They inherit some their godly parents powers, making them a threat to monsters. For thousands of years, the demigods have been hunted down. Until a camp was made to protect the demigods. Camp Half-Blood. Any demigod that could make it beyond their borders was safe from the monsters that hunted them. There, at camp, they trained to fight monsters and survive. When things go astray, the gods give their children quests to fulfill, for they cannot enter the mortal realm. The camp itself is a paradise to demigods, other than the obvious protection. Campers must train, yes, and they have their owns chores just as they would at home. But there are lakes for them to swim, an amphitheater for campfires and songs, a forgery with those gifted enough, a strawberry field, peagus to fly, an area, and a woods. There's games every month for those competitive enough. Welcome to Camp Half-Blood
The sun had risen as it did every morning, thanks to the god Apollo. The bells had wrung, signaling breakfast to all the campers. They drugged their sleepy feet out of bed and dressed for the day. The children offered bits of their food to their godly parents before seating at their designated tables, well, most did anyhow. What would they do anyhow? Make you tend the stables for sitting at the wrong table? Not likely. The last bit of stragglers wondered in, getting the scraps left. Some tables were quiet, still waking up. Others, the Apollo table, were the opposite.
Wendi grumbled and glared at the Apollo campers. How could they be so awake already? That was a question she knew the answer to simply becuase of how long she had been there. Those poor kids. She sat on the end of the Hecate table, which given how few children of Hecate they were, meant she was a tad bit alone. That was fine with her.
(Update: I can be on today!)
Name: Malcom Rose
Age: 15
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Oh horribly homosexual
Godly Parent: Dionysus
Weapon(s): A rapier (Oh, he also has a rifle-)
Powers (if any): He can make you doubt your sanity, doubt your thoughts, doubt your existence. He's a master at mind games even without his insanity inducing powers.
Appearance: Malcom has curly white hair and light brown eyes. His skin is pale and he has a mole under his left eye. He's pretty damn tall and walks quickly. (Haha, if you can't tell I absolutely suck balls at writing descriptions)
Personality: He's quite scattered, often jumping from one subject to another. He makes little to no sense almost all the time. He's really smart, but it takes a lot of brains to decode most of his talking from insane to slightly less insane.
Short Backstory: All you're going to know is that Malcom found the insanity spirit Lyssa (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lyssa#:~:text=In%20Greek%20mythology%2C%20Lyssa%20(%2F,Ira%2C%20Furor%2C%20or%20Rabies.) when he was younger and he's studying psychology to become a therapist.
Name: Dove Sokolov
Age: 15
Gender: female
Sexuality: questioning, but probably ace-spec
Godly Parent: Apollo
Weapon(s): bow and arrow, celestial bronze dagger
Powers (if any): healing, medicinal knowledge, and able to cause sickness, though this is limited (I kinda wanna see this power grow throughout the rp)
Appearance: she’s albino, so she’s got pure white hair in a bob cut and milky skin, and pale periwinkle eyes. 5’1 and has a pear-shaped body. She doesn’t really like to wear the orange t-shirt, so you’ll often see her in blacks, greys, or blues.
Personality: INFP- an idealist, calm and reserved on the outside, passionate on the inside. Driven by her morality, and often drifts into deep thought. Quiet and introverted. Very sensitive and sometimes impractical. Ironically not a morning person. Will sing her favorite songs like there’s no tomorrow. Keeps a journal where she writes poetry or just gets her feelings out.
Short Backstory: Dove’s mom died when she was three years old and has been raised by her grandmother. They were opposites in almost every way, which caused some friction between them. Grandma wanted to shape Dove into the person she wanted her to be, and she would constantly point out the things she didn’t like about Dove. This only started happening as it did when she was around 10 to 11 years old, however, and they did share many happy memories and loved each other. But by the time she was around 13, she struggled with anxiety and perfectionism.
One day, she and grandma were getting groceries when grandma started complaining that her hip was hurting. Dove instinctively put her hand on it, and healed her hip. (Still figuring out the details) They’re found by monsters, and Dove manages to fend them off, but this random boy ultimately saves them. The boy and Dove manage to take grandma back to their home, and privately, the boy reveals himself to be Dove’s guardian satyr (idk if that’s the right term), who’s name is Ash. He tells her about CHB and all that, and they manage to make it from Nebraska all the way to New York, and eventually to CHB.
(Everyone just be hiding their character’s backstory while I’m just like- here it is! Also, I’d like to think she and Wendi would be friends :))
Catina propped her elbows on the table and rested her chin in her hand, picking at her food. She wasn't in the mood to eat, mostly because she had stayed up very late the night before, and now she was regretting it. Dark circles stained under her eyes, and she looked tired and restless. Which, to tell the truth, she was.
She heard a roar of laughter and glanced over at the rowdy Apollo table, allowing herself a small smile. Usually, she'd be that awake this time of the morning, but not today.
She felt a sting of sadness as she looked at her own table, the Hades table. She was alone at this table, like she always was. Not that she minded, sleeping in a cabin all to herself, but during mealtimes, it could be really lonely.
Amelia sat in the middle of the Aphrodite table. She was considered the elite, and therefore sat in the middle, surrounded by the other campers. She ate her food as she listened to the newest gossip. Apparently, some of the Hermes children thought it would be a good idea to pull a prank on the Nemesis cabin. May the gods help those Hermes children. Nemesis was the goddess of revenge and her children followed suit just as much.
Malcom sat at his father's table, reading a thick book he had stolen from the Athena kids. Those guys really needed to set up some protections on their bookshelves. Lyssa floated next to him, some people sending her strange looks. She glared right back of course. They'd only been here for a week or so and people still weren't used to the insanity spirit always by Malcom's side. It was an absolute pain to get her past the border, he did have to punch someone who tried to kill Lyssa.
"Mal, you should talk to people. These kids have got to have lots of trauma you could try your mind healing on them."
"Once again Lyssie, I don't have a degree yet and I'm not qualified to play therapist to kids. Especially ones that don't like you. They're jerks."
"I don't care about their thoughts on me, you wanna be a therapist so go… be a therapist."
"Not how it works, gotta go to school for it and pay lots of money to get a piece of paper that says I can treat people."
Too anyone else, it looks like he's just talking to himself. Lyssa usually only talks to him through their link and technically Malcom could talk through the link too, but he honestly didn't care too.
There's a spirit nearby. Catina, still unused to her abilities, was startled when she realized that. She was pretty sure that the spirit had been here for a while, and that it wasn't an ordinary one, but other than that, she wasn't sure.
She glanced over at the Dionysus table. Was it over there? Maybe. Her power of the dead wasn't any help in these ways, when she wasn't even sure what kind of spirit this was.
(Oh, Lyssa is visible btw, she's just pretty translucent so if the light hits her it'll be hard to see!)
(Also @Tired-but-passionate They would definitely be friends :)
Lyssa could feel the pull of a Hades child, the kid was trying to use her weird spooky ghost powers or something. "Mallllcoommmm, there's a weird girl looking at me. She's a Hades kid and she's being spooky." She complained, usually she had no problem with the stares but honestly, if a Hades girl was using her spooky powers on you, wouldn't you be a bit creeped out.
"Want me to go say hi?" Malcom asked, humming as he flipped a page after scribbling some notes in the margins. Lyssa didn't respond.
Catina smiled slightly. At this distance, and with the Apollo kids around, she couldn't hear the spirit, but she could get the general gist of what it was saying. She turned away, rubbing her eyes, and started to pick at her food again.
At this rate, no one was ever going to approach her. Not that she wanted them to, though. Right?
Malcom closed his book, tucking it under his arm as he stood up. "Imma go say hi." He decided, heading over to the Hades table and sitting down. "Hello, I'm Malcom Rose! Lyssa was getting freaked out because you ghostbusted her so I'm here to ask you not to do that and to also say hi!" Did he even breathe during that sentence?
