"True. But it doesn't feel like soreness just…..fatigue."
"True. But it doesn't feel like soreness just…..fatigue."
Koko tried to reason. "Well it is like what, 8 now? And you had school and practice today, so I wouldn't be too surprised if you're tired."
"Right. Yeah that's probably it." He mumbled as they rounded a corner.
She frowned at him, "You really should get some sleep when you get home. Fatigue and soreness isn't a good mix."
"Yeah….okay I will." He looked up. "Speaking of home, we're almost there."
"Good. You need rest." she declared. "Then I'll check on you tommorow."
"You can come over later if you want." He checked his watch. "Oh it's almost nine"
Koko intervened, "I'm not going to come over. You can see me tomorrow."
"Okay…" Ferran sighed. "Goodnight."
"Night, Ferran." she gave him a little grin.
He smiled and jogged across the street. He thumped up the front steps and slid inside. The chatter of his mom on the phone greeted him and he slipped into his room. He quickly changed and sat on his bed. Little read spots patched his arm. Huh…. He examined them. Probably just a rash…
Koko bounded up her steps, opening the door to find the tv still on from earlier. As she snuck her way to her room and collapsed on her bed, she tried not to think too much about Ferran's predicament. He would be okay; he had to. He's just tired, is all. Speaking of tired…
(Shall we time skip to the next day?)
(Okie)
(Lez go)
Ferran sat up and immediately fell back again. Something's wrong….
He sat up slower and crawled out of bed. His whole body ached.
(I gtg)
Sitting up, she welcomed the new day with a smile. It then fell a moment as she remembered Ferran. Hope he's okay…
Ferran shuffled into the kitchen. A note on the counter caught his attention. Mom… He picked it up.
I'll be gone most of the day. You'll have to fend for yourself, food wise.
I'll be back around 9:00 PM.
Love,
Mom
He sighed.
After putting on new clothes and brushing her teeth, Koko rubbed at her eyes as she sat down on the couch. Too early…
Ferran grabbed his phone and started texting Koko.
FERRAN: Mornin! How'd you sleep?
KOKO: Great! You feeling better?
FERRAN: Not Really….
KOKO: I'm sorry Ferran…
FERRAN: It's my fault. I shouldn't have tried that last jump yesterday.
KOKO: Don't say that… You couldn't have known.
