Laura finished writing and made a small note in the margin.

Lilly finished her painting and sighed happily "here ya go Ned." She said, handing ut in.

"Anythin' you want t' share?" Kai asked, curious.

"Oh, um, I don't know…" she said quietly. "You would want to read it?"

"Well, yeah. Otherwise I wouldn't have asked."

"Oh…" Laura looked at what she'd written. "Do you want to read this?"

"I'd love to." Kai squeezed Laura gently.

Laura blushed and passed Kai her notebook. She never let anyone touch her notebook.

Kai took it, holding it up so that she could read what Laura had written.

Laura blushed harder. "N-Not really."

Laura ran her fingers over the words. "I don't think so…"

"You're biased though." Kai stated as the waitress began to make her way over.

"So are you," Laura mumbled.

"Oh, do tell." She directed that at Laura before turning to the waitress. "The usual, Nancy."

Acacia had a smile on as she worked on the dress. She wanted to make something for Laura after all the crap the girl had dealt with at school. She had picked a simple geometric pattern going from a lighter blue to a dark navy blue separated by thick black lines. The dress only went down to the mid thigh, or at least it was supposed to. The problem was the back was still open as she needed to add the zipper. She wandered over to her stash of zippers and walked back smiling.

Laura looked hesitantly between the waitress and Kai, unsure of what to say. Should I order too, or should I answer? How am I SUPPOSED to answer? Oh, dammit Laura…
