"I am." He chuckles a little, cracking his back. "I've been at my job for four years, but it's been insane…" He shakes his head. He leans on the counter, making sure his eyepatch was covered by his hair. It normally unsettled someone when they saw it. He gives a quiet sigh, yawning again.
"Four years, really? Where do you work?" he asked while he tapped on the coffee maker, trying to get it to work. He had used it just a few minutes ago and it was just fine, what was wrong now?
"Mmm… Reveille Enterprises." He manages through a yawn. Reveille Enterprises was a growing company that specialized in everyday items, technology, etc. And it was starting to grow. He sighs quietly. Not a lot of people knew what he looked like since he rarely went in pubic, but he was content with that. He hated being a public star, especially since he worked part time with the secret service protecting the queen.
(you put rarely went in pubic lmao)
"Oh, that's gotta be stressful," he said. He sighed with relief once the coffee maker finally started working. It sputtered a few times, but it seemed to be okay.
(Ngh… I'm to lazy to fix anything. I'm braindead at the moment.)
"Like you would not believe." He gives a course laugh. He wasn't really like this, but he was tired and out of it. He sighs and looks around. Being CEO of your dead fathers company was like hell. He sighs and watches the other, before looking around. "I like this… It's quiet here."
(lmao it's fine)
Mika smiles, putting a cup under the coffee machine. "Yeah? Me too." He leans against the counter, looking Draven over for a second. "It can be a great place to meet people, too."
Draven raises an eyebrow at the other for a moment. "I suppose it is." He shrugs, rubbing his temples. "Sorry. Long day… I am so out of it." He groans a little bit before looking at Mika. "So what's your name?" He asks curiously.
"No, it's fine, I get it," he said, chuckling. "My name's Mika."
"Draven." He says politely, giving a quick smile. He yawns, leaning against the table.
"Yeah, you said that earlier." He laughed lightly. "Nice to meet you, Draven." He turned and grabbed the guy's coffee cup, putting a lid on it and writing his name on it before handing it to him. "And here's your coffee. Anything else?"
"No, I think that's it. Thanks." He takes his coffee, taking a sip before nodding towards Mika. "Have a good one." With that, Draven heads back into the drizzling rain.
(what should we do now? time skip to the next day?)
(Sure How should they run into each other again?)
(could be the same cafe, like if the employee that called in sick ends up quitting their job so Mika has to take their place for a little while. Or if Draven has a pet by any chance, Mika could be taking Yin and Yang to the vet)
(Yeah, Draven has a soft spot for animals.)
(alrighty)
Yang was curled up in Mika's lap, purring softly as he pet her. He had been waiting for over half an hour here, and he was starting to fall asleep, head leaning against the wall.
Draven hums, walking down the street tiredly.
"Mika?" somebody said from the desk. Mika perked up, and so did his cat. "We're going to have to reschedule your appointment, sorry hun. The vet had to go home sick." Mika gave her a smile and nodded.
"It's okay," he said, picking up Yang and carrying her out the door. He sighed in frustration after he left, cradling his cat to his chest and she fell asleep.
He makes it to the vet, humming quietly. He was here to check in on a pet that came into the vet about a weak ago.
Mika rubbed his eyes and yawning. He walked out the door, nearly crashing into another guy as he was leaving. "Shoot! Sorry…" he mumbled, feeling his cat's claws dig into his skin as she clung to him, terrified.
Draven starts, looking down. "Oh hello, Mika." He raises a brow. "Nice seeing you again." He looks at the cat in his arms, "Ah, hello to you too, kitty." He looks back at Mika.
"Oh, hey, it's you," he said, smiling. He ran his hands through his cat's fluffy white fur, calming her down. She looked over at Draven with wide, blue eyes. "This is Yang, my cat."
Draven nods and lets Yang sniff his hand. "Wonderful creatures cats." He says casually. "I'm actually here to pick up a kitten." He shrugs and his gaze sweeps around the area. "She recently lost her owner and I've decided to take her in." He returns his one eye on Mika, filled with curiosity.
"Really?" he said, eyes lighting up. He didn't take Draven for the kind of guy that would do that sort of thing. "Have you figured out what you're going to name her yet?"
"I haven't seen her yet. I'll name her when i see her." He glances at the desk, then towards Mika. "May I ask why you're here? Check up? Adoption?" He asks curiously.
