Megan ran to her parents room and discovered that they wouldn't wake up either. Tears pooling in her eyes, she felt her phone buzz in her back pocket. She looked at it. A group chat. Others were awake! Hello? My sister and parents won't wake up. What's going on? She hit send.

Ember out her phone in her pocket and walked to the park.

Meg grabbed a jacket and left her house, locking the door behind her.

Wait, where is everybody? Megan texted frantically. She'd gone back up to her room and st on the edge of her sister's bed, squeezing her hand. "I'll find out what's happening, I promise. You'll wake up. You'll see," she whispered.

I looked it up and it seems like somewhere in (random state), Alejandro replied, Im pretty far from there but we have a car with a full tank so ill get there asap, he sent the message and grabbed his Papá's keys as well as a phone charger. He hopped into the driver's seat and started on his way.
