"Enchante, Mademoiselle," Oliver bowed slightly with a charming smile. "The name's Oliver, come right in." He backed out of the doorway and opened it wider, allowing her to come in.

(wow this took off since I was last on! I'll drop out :P)
Still not used to Oliver's outgoing personality, Meredith just nodded as she dragged her suitcase into her room. She noticed that her roommate seemed to have already claimed a bed, so she headed for the other one and set her bag down on it. The room was a lot bigger than she imagined, but then again she was mostly walking in blind. For all she knew this could be what all boarding schools were like.
Oliver closed the door behind her. It seemed as if Meredith wasn't the speaking type, which was fine. He would find a way to bring her out that shell of hers. "So, where you from?" he asked lightly. An attempt at small talk, which hopefully Meredith would take up. Goodness, why did I pack so many clothes?
"Virginia. Or…um…Washington D.C. to be more specific." Meredith replied quietly as she began to unpack her clothes and organize them in the dresser on her side of the room.
(Anyone want to room with Eva?)
"same but apartment it did."
Makani looked confused. "What?"
"I mean here it did. We are in the same dorm." Robin replied.
"Oh!" Makani smiled and gave a small laugh. "Right. Well, at least we have a bathroom with a door."
"yeah at least." He said then looked around.
(bump because I really like this rp)
(Idk what to do because I was with my roomy and then poor, they disappeared l)
((What'd I miss?))
(Not much. Everyone is just meeting roommates)
Oliver eyes lit up. “Oh, I’d love to visit DC, or just America for that matter,” he grinned. “I do love to travel, but I’ve been stuck in France. Not that I’m complaining, the macaroons there are great,” He sighed, remembering his favorite street cafe, which would serve the best pastries and treats in all of France.
"I feel like I'm the opposite. I would love to go to France, or…anywhere other than D.C." Meredith said, starting to feel more comfortable around this stranger. Something about his personality made her a lot less nervous. "The tourists and government officials don't make it any better…"
“I’d go there for the views, and the monuments. I love learning about history; something about it just interests me so much,” Oliver glanced over and shot her a grin. He turned his attention back to his clothes, humming a song he heard on the radio.
Meredith used to love history, but after seeing the same moments for years they all lost their worth. It was just a bunch of stone. Nothing impressive. Of course, Meredith wasn't about to ruin Oliver's day with that so she returned to finish unpacking her clothes. It looks like Oliver packed a lot more. Maybe I should have brought some more outfits?
Oliver carried a pile of clothes over and started to put them away in the provided closet and dresser. “So, Meredith, what are you majoring in?” He was honestly interested in the quiet girl; back home in France everyone was up close and personal with one and other.
"Phycology. Nothing really special." Meredith replied simply, shutting the final drawer as she finished putting away her clothes. Next, she reached for a little box that carried a few trinkets and things to put on her bedside table and on top of her dresser. "Um….what about you?"
“History. Much of a surprise, eh?” Oliver sent her a cheeky grin before putting a box on his bed and pulling a few picture frames out, holding photos of him and his family or his friends. He smiled wistfully before carefully putting them on top of his dresser.

(No? Okey dokey looks like she's alone.)

(what if you and star spangled banner room together?)
(…STARK YOU HERE RIGHT NOW?!)
"American history isn't too interesting, I'll tell you that." Meredith said quietly, finishing unpacking her small box. When she realized that there wasn't anything left to unpack, she plopped down on her bed. "It's just people hating each other, fighting about it, resolving it by making rules, then people ignoring those rules anyway."
“But isn’t that what all history is about?” Oliver said, throwing the now empty box in the corner of his side of the room. He plopped down on the bed, putting his feet up on the wall. “I mean, it’s just repeating the same mistakes over again or making new one ,”
