Paige waved to her. "What class do you have next? I'm going to room…" She double checked her schedule that she wrote on her hand. "Room 45a."

"Same. I hope that Reid guy isn't there."

"You and me both." Paige shivered as she continued walking.

"That guy's a total creep." Artemis said, switching her bag to the other shoulder.

Paige shook her head. "That's one way to describe him…"

"He kind of reminds me of my dad…"

"Really?" Paige looked over at Artemis, sympathy in her eyes for once. "Do you still live with him?"

"Yeah." Artemis nodded.

"God…" Paige shook her head. "I'd run away if I were you."

"Tried, didn't work. I didn't have much survival skills or anything anyway. I'll probably try again here though."

Paige turned the corner. "I'd invite you to my house, but it's not much of an upgrade from your situation."

Artemis nodded. She leaned in. "Maybe we could run away together. Work as a duo." She whispered.

Paige grinned. "Sure, but let's take the others too. We can start a teenage gang."

"Sure. As long as we don't do anything too serious." Artemis said, grinning back.

Paige chuckled. "I make no promises." She grinned as she walked in the classroom.

"Suit yourself." Artemis said, chuckling a little.

Paige sat down towards the back left corner, taking out a piece of paper and a pencil. She planned on doodling if the teacher began talking about how 'bad' they were.

Vaughn slouched slightly in his seat, but was pleased when the teacher gave them the short period to work. He had no homework so far, so he dug out what looked like a player and a cassette tape. He attached earbuds to it and turned on the music, resting his head down on his arm as he listened to the music.
