“Fine, hook up your bike to mine and just sit in it.” She sighed
“Fine, hook up your bike to mine and just sit in it.” She sighed
“Uh, my bike can’t do that,” Rigel explained, leaning back into a pile of trash but he didn’t seem to care, “We’re gonna have to share.”
“Ugh get on.” She snapped “do not move.” She started her bike and drove to the party
Rigel, still under the effects of the drugs, ended up falling asleep with his head resting on Aspen’s shoulder not to long after they started driving to the party.
“Wake up dammit!” She said. “Rigel you ass get up!” She yelled. They had been on the bike for 10 minutes since she parked and the idiot had fallen asleep
Rigel blinked his eyes wearily, “Huh waht? What time is it?” He felt really warm, like a comforting warmth he’d only felt when- “Kate?”
“Whose late? It’s aspen.” She got off her bike and stretched “I didn’t know what to do with your lazy ass so I brought you to the ithers
The name on someone else’s lips was like a stimulant to Rigel. He scrambled away from Aspen, nearly falling in the process, and was awake faster than a blink, though the drugs still but a dull haze on everything. But that name- that name- Rigel’s body tensed up and his face became hard.
(And now I'm intrigued…)
“Finally!” She groaned “are you high? What the hell were you doing out there?” She asked
“Of course I’m high!” Rigel shouted, the bite apparent in his voice. He balled his hands into fists, Rigel’s nail digging into his palms just to distract him from all the memories that were unleashed. He couldn’t cry, not here, not now, he just couldn’t cry.
August looked up from his drink. "I think there's someone outside," he said, finishing the cup.
Meun looked up as well. "You think?" he asked, still only about halfway through his own cup
"It's probably Aspen or Rigel." He said. "Someone should probably let them in." He made no indication that he wanted either of them to be the one to do it.
"I'll go do it," Meun said before pushing himself off the counter. He made his way to the door, cup in hand as he pulled it open
August barely contained a disappointed noise at Meun leaving. He qickly followed after him towards the door.
Meun glanced outside, a slight frown crossing his lips as he didn't immediately notice anyone. "Were we wrong?"
"I think that's them across the street," August said, pointing to the two. "Rigel looks high. Let's just wait for them to notice us."
“It happens every time they take me to headquarters,” Rigel could barely contain his shout. That name. Oh gosh… Kate… Rigel blinked furiously as an attempt to get rid of the tears that were about to come.
August looked over at Meun. "Do you think he's talking to us or to her?"
"I don't know, but I don't want to deal with…High-gel," Meun said before slowly closing the door
August bit his cheek to stop himself from smiling. "Are you doing okay?" He asked softly, putting his hand on Meun's shoulder.
Meun tilted his head in a confused manner before nodding. "Yeah, I'm fine." He didn't say anything about how strangely…nice August's touch felt
Colden looked over at the two and smiled "You both are cute, with each other."
August jumped away quickly, a blush spreading fast on his cheeks. "Um," he said, not completely sure how to react.
