After taking way too long get to a gas station, August finally could fill up his tank. He waited for the tank to fill and he noticed a group of bikers leaving the station. Auggie watched the bikers until they were out of sight. He started tapping his foot, impatient. His tank finished filling and he paid for it and hopped on with a smile, it had been rough pulling along his bike as he walked. He quickly put on his helmet and sped off to catch up to the bikers.
Adella pulled up to the dinner, parking her bike and locking it up with a hum. She walked in through the backdoor, pulling her hair back with a headband and putting on her apron, waving hello to her co-workers.
Riverpaw got off the bike as soon as it stopped, and she had to lean against it when she wobbled a little. "Y- you do that on purpose, don't you?" She asked as she took off Amaris' helmet and sat it on the seat.
Amaris shrugged and started walking "you have no proof."
Pouting, Riverpaw followed, sticking to Amaris' side.
Auggie caught sight of the group again after going a bit over the speed limit. He saw them pull into a diner, so he did the same. Slowing down, he parked a little bit away from them. He was always the skeptical and untrusting type of person, so it was normal for him not to approach someone right away.
Christopher walked in with Colden, biting his lip. As he walked in, he looked at the menu though he didn’t intend to buy anything. Christopher turned his head and saw Amaris and Riverpaw walking in too, smiling a little.
"I was thinking, I buy fries for the group and then leave because I have a race and rheportions here are fairly large." She laughed. "You guys are welcome to come watch the race and even participate, but I dont have o choice, I have to go if I want the money." She shrugged, looking back at the menu
Adella walked to the group's table and smilled. "Hiya there! I'm Adella, I'll be your server today. Do y'all want any drinks to start off with?" She asked, French accent obvoius.
"Hello love, I'll have a bottle of water." Amaris smiled and turned her face back to the menu
Christopher glanced up at the waitress, “Can I just have a water?” He asked softly, favoring to look at the ground instead of looking her in the eyes. He would probably be what one would least expect to be part of a biker gang.
"I'll have some water too." Colden looked at Christopher and whispered in his ear, "have you ever been to a cat shelter before?" He asked trying to lighten the guy's mood.
“No, have you?” He asked quietly, glancing at Colden and back to the floor again. It was habit he had gotten into back when he used to live with his parents—to always avert his gaze and keep his head down.
"M…do you have Arnold Palmer?" Riverpaw asked the waitress with a slight tilt of her head.
(I just realized it said car instead of cat)
(Ha lol I was so confused, gimme a second and I’ll change his response)
(Edited it)
Flame parked his bike, hearing a bit of a sputter as he shut the engine off. * Maybe I should get that checked.* He thought before going into the diner and sitting with the group. Everyone started ordering drinks and Flame just ordered the same as everyone else, not wanting to cause the group to spend any more than they had to.
“No, have you?” He asked quietly, glancing at Colden and back to the floor again. It was habit he had gotten into back when he used to live with his parents—to always avert his gaze and keep his head down.
"yeah… I work at one." Colden replied. "Would you like to meet some of the cats there?"
“Yes,” He immediately replied. He had always wanted a pet, especially a cat, but he knew he couldn’t afford one. “Th-that would be really nice.”
Colden nodded. "Alright, I work tomorrow so you could probably come then." He said with a smile.
Adella smilled and jotted down everyone's orders, closing the pad with a snap. "Alrighty, I'll give you a few minutes to figure out food and come back with your drinks!"
"Of course"
August walked into the diner and sat at a table next to the group. He looked down at his table, tracing the lines in the wood. He couldn't help but listen in to their conversation. He never meant to listen to other people's conversations, but he always ended up doing it anyway.
