(Yay!)
Indigo had left school early having a free period at the end of the day for her senior capstone project. She had returned to the guild and was hiding out in an unused corner in the training room since she technically wasn't supposed to be back yet. But Indi couldn't stay another minute at the school where it felt like everyone was giving her a funny look. Hiding out in here made her feel a lot better even if she knew the peace would be broken soon enough when the other students returned from school.
(Idk how to respond…. Bec, Illy, where are y'all)
Allegra was taking a break from her training. Her crossbow was still in hand, but unloaded. She took a few sips from her water bottle and hooked it back to her belt, put her weapon down, and did a few stretches, to make sure she was still fully mobile and limber.
Her gaze wandered to Indi in the corner, and she gave a quick wave.
The building looked strange from the outside but was fairly modern inside. Emerson was glad that they had cooling inside because any second longer and she would melt. The path to the weaponry was a fairly short one but because of how often Emerson was there, she would normally stop by the training room and practise, which was exactly what she was going to do.
The person in charge of taking the weapons and making sure everything was there, was excited about the new designs. Emerson couldn't blame him, the new designs was amazing. Once he finished inventory, he have Emerson a go ahead and she walked to the gym.
Back at the shop, she was wondering why she decided to wear a loose tank top with a jacket and leggings, but here she was glad she chose something a little flexible. Emerson walked inside and went to grab a few simple warm up equipment and found a fairly empty place where only two other girls were practicing, so she did the logical thing and ignored them. Why bother talking to someone you don't know?
Indigo gave Allegra a light wave before starting to pack up her things so she could go back to her dorm room, but then a new girl entered the training room. Indi was stuck now, she couldn't just leave with someone near the entrance especially someone she didn't know. Letting out a quiet sigh Indi stayed in her corner and pulled out her twin blades to go through her forms. She really needed to work on that and she didn't have to move.
(Sorry, I'm usually busy on Sunday's and can't answer.)
Bellamy waited in the gym for her friend. She knew Emerson's schedule pretty well. Playing with her knife, Bella smiled thinking about her friend. When the door of the gym opened Bella stood and ran over to Emerson. "Emmie!" Bella shouted and jumped into her arms. "I hate when you go to work. I get so lonely."
(Sorry it's short, I wasn't entirely sure what to write.)
The impact allowed Emerson and the mats in the training room to become more familiar. She groaned when she raised who knocked her down. "Bella, will there ever be a day you don't attack me upon seeing me?" She asked with a laugh. She pushed her friend off of her and stood up, reaching a hand down to help her. "The new weapons designs are so cool! I really wanted a set of the purple knives but my.boss said no." She pouted, taking out a knife and spinning it before throwing it at a target. It was way off centre. Emerson groaned before running to retrieve it, grumbling about not getting it right after all this time. "Help me?" She said, gesturing to the target and looking at Bella.
For a few moments, Allegra found herself staring at Emerson. It wasn't a hard stare- just a curious one. She could have sworn she'd seen the girl around before, but she didn't know her, and she knew everybody in the guild. Yet, Bellamy seemed to know her, and probably pretty well, just judging by their interaction.
She continued her stretches, and also went through practicing a few stances and such, carefully paying attention to the conversation, to see if she could gather who exactly Emerson was.
"You should know me well enough to know I will never greet you in any other way." With a smile, Bellamy took Emerson's hand. "Your boss seems pretty strict." Bella knew how wonderful Emerson's weapon idea's were, and she was her number one fan. "I'll help you with anything." Bella skipped over to where her friend was. You could describe Bella like a puppy when she was around Emerson, but no one knew why she acted this way with her. "What do you need me to do?"
"Well, I wouldn't say he is strict but he seems to ask a lot of question. But he is one of the nicest people I've met!" She responded bringing her attention back to her blade. She looked helplessly at the knife in her hand. "Honestly, I thought I had it in the bag the last time you showed me, but it isn't working out for me. I have the blade balanced and aim before I throw, but I can't seem to hit my mark." She sighed.
Indigo was listening in to the two girls' conversation. She vaguely recognized the one she heard Bellamy call "Emmie," but not enough to put a name to a face. After a moment of thought, Indi returned to running through her forms. There was barely enough room for her in the corner, but she wasn't going to move any time soon. Going further out into the training room meant a chance at having a conversation and she wasn't about that life.
"Hm." Bella took Emerson's hand and dragged her away from the target. "I think you're calculating too much. Sure it's good to do that, but don't think to much." Bellamy took out her own knife and threw it within seconds, hitting the targetin the face. She had a natural talent for knife throwing, but she wasn't a good teacher. Bellamy was awful at explaining things, and that was why she was never allowed to have her own team. "See?" She turned to Emerson with a smile. Eden in one word would be… airhead.
(Sorry life has been crazy.)
"Ok….I think I get it now. Like this?" She threw her knife and it hit the target, a couple centimetres away from where she wanted it to go. "Wonderful, it worked!" She exclaimed, running to go retrieve her knife. "I can practise this back at the shop, wanna spar?" She put the knife back in its sheath and gestured to the ring.
"Definitely!" Emerson was strong and won most of their sparrings. Bella wasn't as physically strong as most of the other people here, but she was nimble and fast, which she used to her advantage. "Weapons or fits?" Bellamy began putting her hair up, than moved to grab her gloves. It was only at this moment she realized more people were in here, she must have been too excited to notice.
Indigo could tell she had finally been spotted by Bella. She watched them hoping that they would head into the ring so Indi could sneak out of the training room and head into her bedroom. But she couldn't do so yet, they were still too close for her standards.
"So, do you know anyone here Bella? I have seen a couple people here and there but never talked to anyone specifically. That is, except you." Emerson grinned
Although silently working through stances and whatnot, Allegra was listening in. She missed her window to try to meet Emerson, at least for now. She wasn’t going to interrupt during a private conversation, much less a sparring session.
"I know a few people, but a lot of people here usually keep to themselves." Bella was outgoing and has tried to get to know people here, but they push her away everytime. That's why she was so happy when Emerson started coming by, they instantly became friends. "I should show you around a bit more when we are done."
"Ooh, I've never seen anything more than the armory and the training room. We can spar afterwards, why dont you show me around?"
"Mind introducing yourself when you're done sparring?" Allegra called, "Didn't want to bother you, but I've caught glimpses of you around before, sometimes with Bella. One gets… curious."
She turned her stance so she was looking towards the other two girls.
Indigo was in awe that Allegra was able to just, talk to them. She stuck to her little corner though she had stopped doing her forms now fully invested in what was going on in front of her. There was no way she was talking to them like Allegra had just done. She was far too scared of what might happen to do so.
"I don't know about Bella but I'm more excited about touring the guild than sparring." Emerson walked over to the girl who spoke up and stuck out a hand. "I'm Emerson Rayne. I work at the weapons place where your weapons come from. Your guild leader has given special permission to us to come in and train whenever we do a delivery."
"And she's my bestfriend!" Bella chimed in, putting her hand on Emerson's shoulders and peeking out from behind her. "Would you like to join us on the tour?" Bella had seen Allegra around, but never actually talked to her. Though, she was always happy to make a new friend.
