Avery hums, staying outside, letting the woman who had just gone inside get settled and open the restaurant, still looking at his phone.
She opened the restaurant as quickly as possible, rushing around and turning everything on and putting the remaining dishes from last night away before unlocking all the doors and turning the lights on.
Avdey waits a few moments, walking into the restaurant, “You know, there’s no need to rush opening.”
"I'm behind." Christie muttered, grabbing a wet rag and scouring the building for dirty tables. When she could find none, she sighed and set it down, looking for anything else to do.
Avdey hums, “Still.” He moves to a table, sitting down.
Christie grabbed a notepad from the table, looking to the back. None of the employees or other managers were there yet, she realized with a sigh. She walked over to the man. "What would you like?"
Avdey hums, “Just some coffee, please.” He looks up at her.
"Got it. Would you like cream in it or not?"
Avdey shakes his head.
(Poke?)
(SORRY I GOT SO BUSY OVER SPRING BREAK I FORGOT)
"Okay." She walked quickly away as a couple of her employees began streaming in.
(It’s fine)
He looks back to his phone, quiet.
She speedily made the coffee, speed-walking out and setting the coffee down on the table
He looks up at her, “You don’t have to rush. I’m fine waiting.”
"It's alright. Rushing is my way of doing things." She raced off again
Avdey watches her, quiet before drinking from his coffee.
She rushed around, murmuring orders to her co-workers while opening up the rest of the restaurant.
Avdey hums softly, leaning back slightly.
Once finished, she walked back out to the man. "Anything else we can do for you?"
He looks at her, “Do you have pastries?”
