Rose jumped slightly in her seat, "Yeah, I'm fine."

Mark gives her a curious look before shrugging it off and continuing to talk to his cousin cheerfully.

Rose went back to tapping her fingers, she hummed a tune under her breath.

"When are those burgers getting here?" Dawn asked, getting impatient for her food.

(I'm unexpectedly back. Yay. :P)

Tod's stomach grumbles at the mention of their food. "Something smells good."

Rose looked up her focus breaking, "Food?"

The smell of grease and meat and wonderfulness grows stronger when the kitchen door opens. That tray of food isn't for them, though. Tod frowns.

Dawn starts quietly humming the new song as she waits for the food, tapping her foot to the beat of the song. She stares at the entrance to the kitchen.

Tod sighs and adds to the rhythm by tapping on the counter.

Rose grabs some utensils and uses them for drumsticks. She beat along to Dawn and Tod.

Finally, Markus sees his uncle and smiles, "Ah! Here's our grub!" He says enthusiastically.

Tod ceases his tapping and perks up. His mouth waters at the sight of the juicy burgers set before them. "Wow."

"Dig in!" Markus and Jacob say together.

Tod picks up his burger and, not caring about appearances, takes a massive bite, grinning like an idiot.

Mark and Jacob laugh softly before Mark starts to eat his vegan burger. His uncle knew about his preferences.

"Yesss" Kai whispered happily before viciously attacking his hamburger.

Jacob laughs, "I might have to tell pops we need more burgers!" Mark swallows and laughs along with him.

"Finally!" Dawn exclaimed, grabbing a burger and taking a bite. She finished her bite before speaking, "This is so good!"

Jacob and mark look at each other before laughing. "Pop makes the best burgers." Jacob says happily.

Rose grabbed a burger and began chowing down. It tasted like heaven.

Dawn looked up from her burger. "Any chance there are fries? You can't have a burger without french fries!"

"Fries?" Rose asked in between bites.

Tod nods. "Yeah, haven't you ever been a kid? Have you never put fries in your hamburger?"

"Of course I have!" Rose exclaimed, "I just realized that there were no fires."
