(I'll start if no one else wants to.)
It was dark, that much was certain. The streets were near empty, with only a few flickering lights illuminating the dirty sidewalks. Silence covered the sleeping city, one near as old as time. With a loud crack the silence was broken before swallowing the noise, shattering once again a moment later with a scream.
A hooded figure roamed the alleys, no home to go to, no place to be. If the sparse passerby looked just long enough they would see the glint of blue eyes. After the scream rings out, the statue turns, begins walking towards the noise, and slips silently into the shadows.
(Are we doing after Civil War, Spiderman Homecoming, Thor Ragnarok, and Black Panther? I would like to know what things can be done without spoilers.)
(After Ragnarok is fine with me; I haven't seen Black Panther yet–unfortunately…)
(So I can use T'Challa, just not anyone else from Black Panther? We got enough of his character in CA CW for me to go off of)
Natasha was tied to a chair in an old warehouse. Again.
Why do I get myself into these situations? she thought. Oh, right. For information.
An older man, dressed in a dark blue suit with a silver tie, walked over to her, humming. His eyes passed over her body, taking in the short, black dress she wore. He reached out a hand and brushed her cheek, and Natasha had to keep herself from choking at the overpowering stench of his cologne.
"Darling, please," he said, his voice sickly sweet. "Don't make me do this to you. Just tell me where to find the flash drive, and this will all be over."
"Never," Natasha spat. Playing hard-to-get would work on this man, she'd dealt with the like of him before.
The figure was hooded, and if Natasha looked past the man they would be seen. Stepping closer to the man, footfalls silent even on the creaky boards. A pair of blue eyes briefly flashed at Natasha, a silent question. Should I knock him out? Still as stone they waited for her response.
The man chuckled and cupped Natasha's face in his hands. Leaning close to her face, he whispered, "Then we shall do this the hard way, shall we?"
"Get away from me," she growled, glaring at him fiercely. I guess playing hard-to-get was the wrong idea, she thought angrily.
"Oh, sweetheart," he cooed, backing up. "The flash drive. Now."
Natasha saw the flash of blue eyes in the darkness, holding a silent question. She dejectedly nodded her head—a silent signal back—and the older man smiled.
"That'a girl," he hummed.
The figure was moving before Natasha had completed the nod, calmy pressing a hand to the man's windpipe. After a moment of struggling the man grew still, and the hooded person let him drop to the ground. Circling Natasha, silent footsteps unnerving, they crouched behind her. With what sounds like the unsheathing and slice of blades the ropes fall away. Before Natasha can hurt them for being in her blind spot, they move to stand in front of her. Blue eyes glinting, they wait for her reaction.
"There are others, and they'll be here soon," Natasha said, ignoring the fact that a strange figure had just helped her. She had seen stranger things in her line of work, like super soldiers, men with metal arms, and a giant green man.
The figure nodded, and leaned against a wall to wait.
(Are we messing with timelines? Are the Avengers a group again? What about the Winter Soldier? Did Quicksilver survive? QUESTIONS!!!)
(Ooh… Should we?!? Quicksilver should not have died. Agreed?)
(And what happened to @DarkWolf ?)
(I would greatly like to, and I completely agree. They actually filmed a version of the scene where Pietro survived, and 'Walked it off.' I would like all the Avengers to be a group again, including the Winter soldier, personally I think that Pepper showed up and sorted everyone out. I also support Steve and Bucky being a couple, but I am open to changes.)
(I like everything except Stucky—I'm not a fan. And Pepper totally would have, too. I totally think she should have said 'yes' to Tony at the end of Homecoming, if you know what I'm talking about. How about Romanogers?)
