"Yeah, it was cool," Kelly agreed. And she did feel a little better, but it was still nipping on the back of her mind. I killed innocent people. She swallowed. "What are you guys doing?" she asked. Her voice felt thick and heavy, like molasses, not words, were pouring out of her mouth.
