Quince notices the girl look at him and then walk closer to him. He tensed, a little bit nervous. His nervousness became greater when she spoke to him, a soft hello. Unsure what to do and feeling a bit awkward, Quince didn’t answer for a few minutes. Eventually he his lip, turned to her and awkwardly returned the greeting, “Hi…” he said softly, his hands were clenched in his hoodie pockets, angered at how awkward he was.

((Sorry this is so late- I’m going back to school tomorrow so my schedule should be more consistent))

Noticing how tense the stranger was, G cringed into herself, upset she made him feel awkward. She quietly stammered, looking down, “Sorry to bother you, just, I don’t ever really see people out here, and, uh, thought I should say hi..” She picked up enough courage to look him in the eyes. ‘Wow.. he’s kinda cute..’ The intrusive thought made her blush, and instantly sent her gaze back to the ground.

Quince smiled lightly, "It's fine…I just don't talk to people too much.". He watched her look up at him, then instantly back down her face red. That made Quince blush too and he turned back to the ocean, his face red.

(Sorry this is short I'm on limited time and I'm also going back to school today…)

“Heh, neither do I.” She rubbed her arms nervously and laughed lightly, looking back up. “I’m Ouija- G… I’m G.. By the way,” the hand she outstretched for a handshake instantly curled back in out of embarrassment for letting her real name slip this early on in the conversation. ’Great, now he’s really gonna think you’re insane.’ She sighed to herself.

"Nice to meet you G, I'm Quince." He smiled and extended his hand towards her.

G instantly felt the weight fall off her shoulders as he didn’t mention anything about the oddity of her name. She smiled widely, and took his hand, shaking it. “It’s really nice to meet you too, Quince.” She paused and pulled back, before adding, “That’s a nice name, by the way.”

"Thanks, it's nice to meet you as well. Is your real name Oujia? I've never heard that as a name before but it's nice." Quince said with a smile, he wasn't one to judge.

She quietly laughed under her breath before replying, “Yeah, it’s my real name, and thank you. My dad was.. Well, he was, interesting for sure, and decided to name me that. I’m not completely certain why he did, but I bet he has his reasons- my twin’s name isn’t normal either, so I guess it’s a family thing- sorry, I’ve been rambling..” She cut herself off, suddenly noticing how much she was talking to Quince about herself.

Quince chuckled, "Its fine." He smiled, "So what brings you to the beach?"

G smiled back. “Well, I guess I was just looking for peace, a place where I could clear my head, and I managed to find my way out here, as I do.” She figured that was a good enough explanation without saying too much. Turning out to face the ocean, the breeze blowing on her face, she asked, “What about you?”

"I like it out here. It's cool and relaxing and strengthens my powers." Quince frowned realizing what he said.

She turned to face him, squinting a little bit as she looked up into his face. “Powers..?” Her voice faltered a little and was quiet, as if she was trying to process what he said for herself.

Quince turned away embarrassed, "I, um, I have water powers…" He mumbled. Great, I shouldn't have said that…

((Ohhhh my goodness I’m so so so sorry for the late reply!!! I’ve been pretty busy and tired the last couple of days and just now got around to reply- I’m so so so sorry!!))

G wholesomely smiled, and said, “That’s awesome! You shouldn’t be ashamed, that’s too cool..” She bit down on her lip, debating saying something about her own powers.
