Lia headed towards the headquarters and started asking urgently for the commander, what she heard were vey bad news, the people she saw where talking about making a cobstruction right on the borders
Ash flew out of the water and into her new base. Upon flying inside, she saw multitudes of other river fairies who all looked her way when she walked in, knowing she was their new commander. Ash flitted into her new office, preparing to go out and start a patrol with a group.
Cora turned to Mori,
"Sorry, I've got to go. Someone needs my help." She turned back into fairy size and zipped off without another word. She landed next to a jackalope, it was caught in a mechanical snare and screaming for help.
"It's okay. What's your name?" Cora asked, turning to full size and grabbing a knife from her belt. She cut through the wires and grabbed the jackalope, patting it's head. It gazed at her,
"I'm Gal, thank you. I've got information on the people who did this. "
Mori signaled to her team to continue scouting, the group of elves left as swiftly as they came.
Cora held the shivering jackalope close to her, taking him to her base. When she arrived, she wrapped a blanket around him and sat him down in her office.
"Now, if you could tell me what you heard," she said. Gal squeaked,
"There was a patrol right before I got caught in the snare. They were wearing mechanical armor." Cora growled, a patrol of techs were right under her nose.
"Anyway," Gal continued, "they said they were scouting for a place to put a machine to help run the city outside the walls." Cora stood up, angrily muttering to herself,
"First the section us off from the city saying this place was reserved for us, now they want to come in again and kill this forest and all the animals in it… Thank you for telling me, Gal. I'll get you something to eat." She walked out of her office, she had to tell the others, soon.
A branch cracked and a scream echoed from a three miles away, Mori and her little team of elves immediately turned and faced where they heard that sound. They all stood there for a moment, looking and listening.
Finally Mori nodded, “This way.” And the group ran east.
Cora walked into the main room where everyone was gathered for a meeting.
"Okay, we got a tip today. The Techs are trying to come back into the city to make room for more of the machines," she hissed the word "machine" like it was poison, "We have to send out more scouts. Scout Alpha and Beta take the South main wall. Scout Zeta and Epsilon take the North main wall. Scout Delta, you'll move between them, and report back what goes on. Scout Eta and Kappa, take the far side of the forest. Scout Theta and Lota, take the hospital. Everyone else, stay here. Now, move out!" With those words, everyone started leaving the room and the building. Cora sighed, she knew she couldn't keep this up forever. As much as she didn't want another war, that maybe be the only choice left.
Lia headed back to the headquarters, making her wings disappear as she landed, she walked around looking for Cora "Hey! Cora meeting NOW" She said in a high tone, having tech people around was so bad news, but them wanting to build near the borders were even worst, so she decided to have a meeting so they could talk about it and decide a solution, hopefully, one that will prevent a war
It was a fairy, she was electrified. There were great tales about Elven medicine, however death could not be altered, no matter what.
