Ari jumped to one final tree, but lost her footing and crashed to the ground with a yelp, right beside Feran's garden. She coughed as she tried to regain her breath, and laughed when the young Dayaxa named Harli ran over to her.
"I got you!" Harli cried. Ari rolled her eyes and stood.
"Sorry Feran." she said sheepishly. "At least we didn't get in your garden this time!"
Levi had no idea what to do. He looked up at Ari in the tree above him, wishing he could climb up there with her. Nope. It's not worth it. Instead, he ran to a large bush and tried to hide in it, the leaves getting in his hair.
Ari bent down and picked up Harli, who let out a Dayaxa call signaling that the game was over. "Hows the garden going?" Ari asked.
Lucas held his breath as someone almost ran into him, looking for another tree further away. He spotted one and looked around to make sure it was safe before making his way towards it.
Levi ran up to Ari and Feran, still somehow not out of breath. He sat down on the soft grass, trying to pick the leaves out of his hair.
As Lucas walked by, he spotted the garden. And was that… "Ari?" He paused, taking in the scene.
It wasn't long before both Felix and Zoe were on the ground again racing towards their mother. Her muscles ached and burned but she kept going, that was until she trip on a rock and fell into a hole.
Ari turned at the sound of her brothers voice. "Oh hey Lucas!"
"Er… what are you doing?" He held the book against his chest, standing still.
"We were playing hide-and-seek with Harli." she said, tucking her hair behind her ear.
"Why?" Lucas had never understood the need for games. They weren't really what he would consider 'fun'. He would prefer to sit in silence and read, to delve into a different world for a few hours to forget his own troubles. That was 'fun', if he were asked to define it. Or he would just grab a dictionary and read the asker the definition.
Ari rolled her eyes. "Because we wanted to." she said, bumping his shoulder.
She only blacked out for a few moments before her vision returned. It was a deep hole, one they wouldn't be able to get out of. She couldn't crawl out either. It was too steep and apparently the throbbing pain in her ankle told her that she had either sprained or broken it. " Felix!" She called out anxiously to him, nervous he wouldn't be able to hear her.
Iris sat up on a tree branch, smiling to herself she watched the others. She was quiet content to just watch rather then actually join in the games.
(@Nerd_Girl2.0 guess ourcharacters are siblings, fine by me :) )
"Hide and seek is fun!" Levi exclaimed to Lucas. "I don't get why you don't like it."
Lucas flinched a bit before examining the garden, his eyes flicking rapidly between each thing. Colorful flowers, bushes, and plants in general. The place felt slightly surreal in its beauty, like a fantasy scene in a children's book.
"Did you hear someone call for Felix?" Ari asked. "It sounded like Zoe."
"Hmm? No, but I zoned out. It's not unlikely." (gtg for a while, idk how long)
Levi shrugged, picking the final leaf out of his hair. "Nope."
Hoping down from the tree Iris walked over to the others, "you guys alright?"
"Iris!" Ari called. "Where's Zoe?"
Zoe was panicking. Small places were not her thing. She didn't hear anything which made it worse. " FELIX, MOTHER HELP!" She screamed as loud as she could, hoping someone would hear. SHe tried to calm herself by telling herself that, they were getting help. Dust started to collect in the air as leaves fell down in her hair.
Levi stood up. "Now that I heard."
Her Anxiety started to get worse as she was hyperventilating. Her senses came alive as she could feel each spot that hurted. A lot. She kept screaming for someone to come help until her voice had become horse.
"Yeah, she and Felix were racing home, so she might've slipped and hurt herself," Iris turned to face where she be lived the yelling was coming from.
