(Sorry, I was eating. I'll post in a sec.)
Blaine blew a strand of hair out of her face as she slipped around the corner of the library. Glancing around to make sure no one was watching her, she pressed a hand to the brick wall. Blue light outlined her hand, and a hidden door slid open, revealing a polished, white hallway. She slid inside, and the door automatically closed behind her.
Raven looked out the window, people bustling about. Kids smoking in the alleys, three girls walking together, shopping bags strung on their arms. A nice lady, popping into a store to help around. A kid on a skateboard, two men in suits. How nice it seems… He thought.
Agents greeted Amethyst – or Blaze, as they called her here – as she walked inside the base. She headed to the director's office to receive the assignment he had called her there for.
When she arrived, she knocked on the door and stuck her head in, calling, "Sir? I'm here."
The director, a tall man with graying dark brown hair who looked to be about forty-years-old, looked up from his desk. Piles of paperwork sat in front of him, one on each side of the desk. He gestured for Blaze to come in when he noticed her standing outside his door.
"Have a seat," he said, pointing to the chairs across from him. "We're just waiting for Agent Z to arrive, and then I will start briefing you on your assignment."
"Yes, sir," Blaze said, sitting in one of the seats.
Suddenly he remembered he had a meeting, he stood up rushing to the base. He ran down the halls, receiving looks from a few people. He had been so lost in his thoughts, his mind had gone blank. He opened the door to the director's office. Finding 'Blaze' there already he said, "Hello, sorry I'm late, I was distracted,"
(I've gtg for a bit, but I'll try to get back on. It could be 30-60 minutes, or it could be until tomorrow evening.)
(Well, I won't be here den, so bye…)
(I'm back.)
"Please, sit," the director told Agent Z. "I'll brief you momentarily."
Blaze turned to face him, winking before she turned her attention back to the director.
(I just realized that I never actually posted anything for rules, so…
– PG-13 MAX
– Let's not take this farther than kissing/making out.
– Swearing is fine, but please keep it limited.
– That's all I have, other than: Have fun!)
(And now, I'm back…)
(I'm not going to be on until late this evening or possibly even tomorrow morning.)
(Puff!)
(I'm back.)
"Please, sit," the director told Agent Z. "I'll brief you momentarily."
Blaze turned to face him, winking before she turned her attention back to the director.
He sat next to her, glancing at her, before turning to the director.
(Sorry if I'm a bit late responding sometimes, I'm babysitting.)
The director cleared his throat, shuffling a few papers that sat in front of him before beginning. "It seems that a group of people has decided to try to infiltrate and overthrow the government. Not only the national government, either, but international governments as well. Both of your jobs are to get inside their camp and take them down. Without giving away what you're doing."
(Puff!)
Raven sighed. Just the usual… nothing new, or exciting…
"Oh, I'm sorry, is this assignment boring to you, Agent Z?" the director asked, cocking an eyebrow as he leaned forward in his seat.
Blaze watched them both, amused.
"It's like the same thing every time," He said, sarcastically. He looked at Blaze, using a what-is-wrong-with-this-person kind of look.
Blaze chuckled, though not at the agent's remark. She was laughing at how the director would react to it.
"Well, I can assure you that this is different than most other ops," he said as he steepled his fingers on the desk in front of him. "Trust me when I say that. I believe this is your first mission alone with Blaze, yes?"
"Sure, let's go with that,"
The director shot Blaine an exasperated, is-he-serious look before dismissing them with a wave of his hand.
Blaine rolled her eyes as she stood and walked out the door, not checking if the other agent was following her. She stopped just outside the door and leaned against the wall.
(Curfluffles!!! I want to continue!)
“What? You don’t like my sarcasm?” He rested against the wall opposite Blaze.
(Woah, dude. It's been almost two months! Lol.)
Blaine sighed and looked up for a moment before replying. "I kinda think you're going to get on the director's nerves that way," she stated, bringing her gaze back down to Agent Z. "That's not necessarily something you should strive for."
(Orange Tornadoes! IKR)
“I think I’ll live,” He said, turning to look at her directly. “And besides, I like a little fun once in a while,” Raven’s mouth quirked into a half smile.
