Name: Malachi
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Looks: Messy reddish-strawberry blond hair, freckles, dark green eyes, light skin, lightly muscled, fairly thin, but not unhealthily so.
Outfit: A dark grey t-shirt, a pair of medium length shorts, and often likes to go barefoot.
Personality: Shy around new people, very slow to trust, but quite curious. He's honestly a sweet little cinnamon roll. Positive and caring.
(Neat! Readddddy?)

It was a quaint summer's afternoon. Couples were milling about together, having picnics, having a grand old time! The sun stroked Malachi's face as he walked through the park, barefoot of course (sorry I couldn't resist), to find a place to sit down.
Then, he saw the man, that apparently he could only see. Tall and gangly, he sat on the edge of the marble fountain, a book in one hand, another idly twisting a furl of messy, long, black hair.
(Lol)
Malachi squinted slightly to be sure he wasn't just seeing things. He wondered if he should walk over to see what the thin man was doing, or even reading for that matter. Running a hand through his strawberry locks, he sighed. Usually he'd never quite go out of his way since it was probably none of his business. The boy also didn't want to bother the person, whether he could be seen or not.
Looking away, he gave up searching for a bench to sit on and instead sat himself in the crisp, green grass under a tall maple tree. Ironically, said spot was still in close proximity to the fountain. Normally, the warm sun and trickle of water could have made Malachi tired enough to take a light nap.
That wasn't happening however, since his legs forced him to stand and walk over to the man.
"Um… hi," Malachi said awkwardly.
The man paused in the motion of twirling his hair and lowered the book, showing his crisp, slightly unfriendly icy blue eyes.
"Hello." His voice was unsurprisingly deep and commanding.
Malachi bit his lip slightly at the man's cold tone.
"I'm not bothering you am I?" the young boy asked. He wanted to do something with his hands to calm his nerves, but kept himself calm. Thinking about it now, if no one could see the man he was speaking to, did that mean it looked like he was speaking to thin air?
He blinked. "No, you are not. And it would look rather funny if you were talking into the air, I would think, yet it seems no one cares, to answer your question." He tossed the hair out of his eyes and squinted at Malachi. "Say, you seem familiar."
Malachi closed his eyes, feeling relieved that he wasn't bothering this man, but opened them immediately with the rest of the response. A mind reader…?
Hearing that the man seemed to recognise him, Malachi tilted his head slightly.
"I do….?"
"Yes, I am a Mind Reader." He grinned a little. "Smart. And, yes, you do. The structure of the way you think is also quite familiar… anyway…" He gazed off, his eyes fuzzing over. "What was I saying?"
"Saying I was familiar despite the fact that I've never met you," Malachi replied. It was a bit of an odd encounter, but there was something about the man that drew him in. (not romantically lol)
(Lol of course not)
M set the book down then continued to study Malachi. "Right. You do look quite familiar… just so you know." He crossed his legs on the small surface of the fountain and blinked slowly. "Anything else?"
Drumming his fingers on the fountain rim, Malachi gave a light shrug. "I'm not sure from where though. Again, I've never seen you around before," he pointed out.
M continued thoughtfully twirling his hair over his finger. "Yeah, neither do I. I find it rather odd that you can see me, too. No one has seen or talked to me for a while."
Malachi hummed in thought. After a moment, he still drew a blank as to how he was able to see this person. Did he have a name? Why could most not see him?
"I do have a name, Malachi." M grinned at him. "I'm Metaphorical Whembrooke, but people call me M for short. And I've been in captivity for thousands of years. It's great… until I'm lonely. Anywho, nice to meet you."
The mind reading likely would never cease to make him jump. M already knew his name… Huh. Malachi frowned a bit at hearing that M was in captivity.
"Um, likewise," the other male responded with a small smile. After a small pause, he asked another question.
"Is there any way that I can help you?"
"No, I've been in captivity for… well, over two thousand years. I'm quite old." He smiled humbly. "If anyone were to help me, it'd be my good for nothing twin." He scowled.
Malachi pressed his lips together. He wasn't sure how to respond. Instead, he moved his gaze up to the clouds. The weather sure had provided quite the beautiful day.
M sighed. "Anyway, if you want to go back to your perfectly free life I won't stop you. It was great meeting you and all, yet I don't want to interrupt anything that you had planned."
This comment surprised Malachi. From his usual sitting position, he brought his legs to sit criss cross. It was just more comfortable this way. Offering M a kind grin, he told him that he really hadn't had anything planned.
"It just seemed like a waste not to be outside today. There's no one I had planned to meet here if that's what you were implying."
Being honest was something his dads had taught him well. As of the current situation? He was happy to keep M company. It's like M mentioned before: being lonely is kind of terrible.
M whistled slowly. "Mmm… That's not what I was implying. I was just wondering how busy you were, yet that question has been promptly answered for me." He glanced at Malachi. "Not that it's a bad thing."
