@Fraust
"But you said he was dead! What's all that about?"
"But you said he was dead! What's all that about?"
“Dead was his last name. I think.”
"No, you said 'Tommy's a nice boy. He's dead though.' You wouldn't use a last name in that sort of context."
“Lucas, I was asleep.”
"I know! But it still freaked me out!"
“Sorry. What would make you feel better?”
"I dunno… I'm probably just being stupid…"
“You want a hug?”
"……Okay." Lucas hugged Aaliyah, his ears turned back a bit.
“Do you feel better?”
"A little…" Lucas pulled away, looking into Aaliyah's eyes. He was a bit embarrassed to be scared by something so stupid.
(The kid just likes hugs okay)
(Hey I like hugs too. xD)
“Good.” Aaliyah grinned, patting his head.
"I'm sorry for being such a scaredy cat…"
“Don’t be, everyone has their fears.”
Lucas smiled weakly. "Thanks. Guess I'm afraid of dead people."
“Are you also afraid of cemeteries and funerals?”
"…Maybe…" Lucas looked away, a slight pink tint coming to his cheeks. "It just… i-it freaks me out! At funerals the body's just… right there… and cemeteries you're walking on them! Do… d-do you think my fear comes from my parents dying?"
“Maybe..” Aaliyah said, patting his head, “So you have necrophobia.”
Lucas looked up at Aaliyah, his eyes stinging with tears. I wish I could just live with my parents, in a nice house… not this horrible orphanage…
(But I’m your father ;-;)
(Yeah but his real father is dead)
;-;
(Rip Mr and Mrs. Lucas's parents)
(oh gosh I'm eating lunch and this is sad.)
"O-oh, don't cry. Don't cry." Aaliyah said softly.
