Opal raised an eyebrow and pulled him to his feet, surprisingly strong for a fifteen-year-old. "Follow.", she told him, walking back towards the village.
Opal raised an eyebrow and pulled him to his feet, surprisingly strong for a fifteen-year-old. "Follow.", she told him, walking back towards the village.
Gaspard eyed the girl, but followed her further into the forest anyway. "Where we going?"
Opal said nothing, just pushed away some leaves to reveal the rainforest village.
"Ok d'accord," he muttered. He looked up just as the village was revealed, and his eyes widened in wonder. "Waouh."
Opal waved Ariel, Arie, and Hera over.
"So, Opal, wassup?"
Ariel walked over to Opal. "Hey." She said to the man.
"I think he's lost, and he only speaks nonsense.", she told them.
"I think he might be speaking French. I herd snippets of what he said from here."
“Whatever he’s soeaking, I think he’s lost. Keeps speaking nonsense, must be going insane from solitude.
Gaspard stared at the group. They were all girls; this was going to be interesting. "I speak words of English."
Ariel shook her head and sighed. Then she began speaking rapidly in French to the man.(interpret her words as you like)
"Are you lost?" she asked him in French.
He sighed in relief. "I think so, my group disappeared. I was just supposed to be visiting."
"Ok, well, all the girls are nice, so just chill out."
He nodded. "OK, I'll try."
Arrow stood and walked a bit. Her legs hurt like hell. She heard voices coming from somewhere in the dark, gross rain-forest, and dragged her feet as she walked towards the sounds.
Opal directed him towards the healing tent. “You should probably get checked.”
It took Gaspard a moment to understand the words. He nodded and forced a smile to the girl before heading over to the designated tent. He walked in slowly, looking sheepish.
Arrow gripped her arm tightly, unaware of why it ached so badly the way it did. She let out a small scream for help and prayed silently for a reply.
Opal froze as a scream echoed through the camp. She goon off at a run, sprinting towards the source of the sound.
Gaspard's head snapped up at the sound. Pushing off the nurse that had been attending to him, he sprinted out of the tent and into the centre of the camp. "What has happened?" he said frantically.
Opal burst through the foliage, stopping abruptly when she saw a girl.
Ariel was right at Opal's heels.
Arrow heard footsteps from afar and smiled weakly, thankful she was getting some help.
Opal knelt down by the feverish girl. “Are you okay?”
Arrow shook her head no and looked up at the two kids who came to her, thankful.
Ariel knelt down on the other side of the girl. She put a hand to her forehead. "We need to get her to the hospital tent right now."
