Nissa followed, casting one final glance at the discarded chains. Who would do something like this? She thought, her hands forming fists at her sides. What could the Burned One possibly have seen that was so important?

Mila cautiously opened the door and gasped, covering her mouth, when she saw the remains of a battlefield on the other side. A stray bolt of lightning struck not too far away in response to her shock but wasn't close enough to cause any more damage. Her insides churned slightly at the sight of so many dead and injured Specialists. “Headmaster Silva?” she almost whispered before carefully making her way towards him.

Nissa looked around the battlefield with wide eyes. She'd never seen so many dead in one place before. "Are-" She turned to Silva, fear evident in her gaze. "Are they all…?"

Saúl heard one of the girls say his name. The Burned One's infection was spreading rapidly now. His hand gripped the sword tightly, and he pointed it at Mila as she approached. "I know who you are," he said, his voice sounding strained as he fought the infection, which was laughable. He couldn't fight it, not really, and without Zanbaq from Ben in Alfea's greenhouse, he'd likely be dead before he could get to see Farah again. He needed to get back to the school. "Get back."

Mila froze for a moment when the sword was pointed at her but she nodded, taking another step towards him. “Yes, I was in Headmistress Dowling’s office earlier when you came in. We both were.” she reminded him, gesturing slightly to her friend. “We… We're going to help you get back to the school.” she stated with a bit more confidence than she really felt.

"Stay back," Saúl threatened the girl by jabbing his sword in the air, but even the simple task of holding it up soon became too much for him, and his hand fell to the ground, releasing the hilt of the blade and grunting for breath. "Farah," he groaned as his mind realized Mila had mentioned her.

Now that the sword was no longer be pointed at her, Mila nodded and quickly joined Nissa to be by his other side. “This had to be an ambush.” she told her friend. “The person either was waiting or arrived just a few minutes ahead and released that monster.” The blonde fairy looked back down at the injured man and carefully moved his arm over her shoulders. “Don’t worry Mr. Silva. Headmistress Dowling will know what to do.”

Silva winced in pain, but he didn’t resist the girls’ helpful movements. “Farah,” he mumbled. As the two fairies lifted him to his feet, he leaned on both of them heavily. “The greenhouse,” he finally managed.

(no worries)

Mila gave a half-hearted shrug as the group made it's way back to the school. “Maybe the teacher in charge knows something that can help.” she suggested as an explanation. Of all the times for her to forget that teacher’s name, it had to be now.

(Um… hey lol. I'm back!)

Silva wasn't able to help them much in his current state. He was essentially dead weight the entire trip back. "Farah," he mumbled over and over. "Farah…" Every once in a while, he would murmur another name instead. "Ben… Andreas… Rosalind…" But then it would always revert back to Farah. His Farah. His fairy.
