"I would hate to be her right now." Bella whispered, leaning over to her, her bright red hair brushing Jackie's neck slightly.
Jackie jumped. "Oh, uh, yeah," she smiled surreptitiously. She stared Kailey down and nodded at her to just sit down.
“Have a seat. This meeting is to discuss the recent revolts and escaped criminals, which you three are all the executives of.”
Bella nodded, becoming strangely quiet.
“Thank you.” Kailey said, she took a seat.
"Nice first impression," Jackie whispered to Kailey.
Kailey rolled her eyes, she was late for a reason. She hated being late.
“Do you have any excuses?”
Bella turned her head towards the newcomer, waiting for her excuse.
Jackie hoped for Kailey this wouldn't escalate into a full grilling session.
//he meant all three of u
(So it’s not asking for the excuse of why Kailey was late?)
//lack of control for the revolts and escaped criminals
idk he’s a bit of a jerk
Jackie shyly raised a hand.
She stood up. "With all due respect, sir, you retracted a third of the forces usually used for the control of the prisons and police force. We're doing the best we can do with our current resources."
//yass girl slay
“I retracted that third for various reasons. We went over it. My advisors promised it would be enough! Why isn’t it?”
Jacqueline looked straight at the president. "There's been… unrest. The revolts are marginally more dangerous than usual, and more prisoners are rebelling."
Arabella stood up too. "Well, sir, The Prisoners have become restless and once you took away the advisers, they took their chance and acted out."
He sighed. “How much more do you need?”
"It's quite irregular, but," she shuffled some papers. "A good thousand men to spread around the centre of the city."
"But, sir. If you don't have enough to spare, we could always go with 700."
“A thousand,” he repeated. “Very well. Take your pick. Ms. Harrington? Any words to add?”
“I shouldn’t think you’re slacking and letting your partners do the work?”
