Aura nodded then walked over to Nyx. "Sit down, now." She said and Nyx sat without hesitation. "Nyx here is just a big loveable mass of feathers." Aura said then quietly continued "though she could rip people's heads off and murder people and animals…. Still just lovable feather pile."
The fae exhaled against the bark of the tree softly. A little patch of flowers grew there. Oh no… She hoped they didn't see.
Aura wasn't really paying any attention the the ground near the tree.
She swallowed and took a half step to her left so they could see her a bit more clearly.
The assumed bounty hunter walked closer to the Griffin. They then placed their hand softly on the Griffin’s outmost feathers and stroked them gently. The hunter seemed to be fond of animals as they were giving the hint of a smile while they stroked the Griffin.
Nyx was happy getting attention and being petted. It didn't pose any threats currently. Aura stood and watched.
The fae took another half step. She was still shaking, and it was more obvious now that she was visible.
The assumed hunter turned to the fae when she shifted.
“Scared? Nothing’s really scary until it opposes a threat… so don’t worry…” he said as he continued to stroke the Griffin’s outermost line of feathers.
She was still timid. "I have plenty of reasons to worry," she replied softly. Her voice sounded like tinkling bells.
“Heh… sure, people have their fears I guess…” the presumed hunter continued stroking the Griffin’s feathers.
Aura walked over to the girl. "Be calm. I don't think either of us would kill or hurt you and Nyx, pretty content as it."
The hunter removed his hand from the Griffin.
“Oh right, I haven’t introduced myself properly yet have I? Forgive me for my bad manners…” he cleared his throat.
“I’m Finn, Finn Spring, just a collector of artifacts and a hunter at times” the man bowed as he introduced himself.
The sweet fae bowed her head slightly in acknowledgement. So he's not a bounty hunter…
Aura nodded in acknowledgement. "I guess I should formally introduce myself. I am Aura, or R. I was or am a warrior of sorts. I used to be a knight until I was injured and was told I was unfit to stay with the knights. I found Nyx injured a few years ago a bit after being injured."
She realized it was her turn to say her name. "Oh. I'm sorry… My name Caline."
Finn nodded. “Nice to meet both of you. Oh yeah, since you do have Nyx—“ he turned to Aura “—I guess it’s appropriate for me to introduce my partners as well” he then whistled loudly once.
Two shadowy figures rushed through the woods and towards Finn. They then revealed themselves as the light touched them; one was an owl, one was a raven. The owl landed on his left shoulder while the raven landed on his right.
“This one’s named Hook” he patted the owl’s head. “…and this one’s named Shade, for obvious reasons” he stroke the raven twice before lowering his hands back to a normal stance.
"Cute companions." Aura said and nodded looking at both birds.
Caline looked between them. "Interesting. Did you train them?"
“That would be correct” Finn confirmed.
“I found them both nearly dead while in a forest like this one—“ he looked into the woods “—really takes me back to those days”
Caline nodded. She loved most animals, real or fantasy. Except griffins.
Aura looked around and heard a stick break nearby. She sighed and looked at the others. "Someone is approaching." She said and Nyx got into a defensive position as Aura drew her sword.
“Fair enough…” Finn sighed as he said it. He raised his right hand up and the two birds flew away from his shoulders. He knelt down to the ground and created a garden of some sorts. The flowers were all white and taint less. He looked at where the sound had came from.
Caline's eyes widened as they met with a pair of sparkling violet eyes. She recognized those eyes. Rayven! she thought worriedly.I
(Is this okay?)
