(Like, a behind the scenes type character/sidekick/minion/henchman who could work for/with any of the other characters, whatever you want. I think they could have some abilities related to hacking or computers or something?)

I think that's a good idea, and maybe they have an aversion to actual fighting. Their powers aren't really combat friendly unless your fighting a robot or cyborg.
