Sebastian scoffed. "Don't get an attitude with me. I did not have to think twice about you. I was protecting you from other vampires that would have done much worse. I do not think I am bad one to live with, considering how the others treat their thralls." He took in a deep breath. "There is a routine. I am most lively during the night. You will have to get used to being up all hours of the evening, too. I require blood to live. You will have to give that too. I only require three meals per day unless I fall ill." He stood by the door, tapping his foot. "I have your first task awaiting you. As I said, you are picking up a letter."
Scarlett rolled her eyes and looked to the floor holding her arms before walking over to her clothes and stepping behind a paper divider an d getting dressed her clothes weren't exactly fancy just a long skirt and a nice blouse with a corset she walked from behind the divider and dropped her dress across it "okay and where am I going to collect said letter? "
Sebastian diverted his eyes, not wanting to see the silhouette of Scarlett. Once her heard her voice, his amber eyes landed on her. He turned slightly red as her clothes showed her figure more than the dress. He cleared his throat. "You will be going outside. There shall be a man standing at the gate of my property ready to hand you the letter. Do not dare think about leaving. You will be murdered on sight."
Scarlett rolled her eyes and she walks over to the door she nodds at the order and begins to walk out before turning to Sebastien "it is not my wish to be killed by a dead man's servants do not worry.. " she makes her way out of the room and moves to the stairs calling back without looking as she started to descend " my name is Scarlett be sure you don't forget but this is the only time I will say it. "
Sebastian shook his head. “I did not mean my servant. I meant humans. Humans will kill you if you leave my territory. You have the mark of ‘Dracul’ on you..” He called down to her. “Scarlett.” He whispered his name before going over to his bed. He curled up in it, closing his eyes. The morning hours for him and Scarlett had just started as it was 11 at night, but he wanted to sleep some more. His blood made him sleepy sometimes and other times.. well, he managed to hide it well. Sebastian’s black hair fell in his face. He had long eyelashes, but his skin was quite pale. He never liked how pale it was. He looked pretty thin, almost too thin. He hadn’t eaten well before Scarlett. He fell asleep, looking very vulnerable and innocent compared to when he was awake.
She rolled her eyes and called back once more before disappearing "I know you've made that very clear. " she made her way outside looking at the dark path ahead of her and she took a deep breath before starting down it to see this man she was told had Sebastian's letter
The man stepped forward, walking along the dark path toward Scarlett. He bowed to her with the letter in hand. Handing Scarlett the letter, he mumbled a few words. “For thy Lord Ashmore form Mr. Mearow.” The man tipped his hat and made his way back down the path, leaving the letter from Mr. Mearow with Scarlett.
She took the letter carefully giving it a glance before saying a quick thank you and turning to head back to the house she turned to look at the woods they were illuminated by the moon she could escape.. But where would she got Sebastian was right she'd be killed in a heartbeat, she sighed and looked at the house before heading back inside and up the stairs she opened the door to his room and made her way inside with the letter in hand she looked at Sebastian curled up on the bed and she was slightly annoyed she set the letter down before sitting in a chair in the corner of the room 'this is it I'm bound to be in this dreadfully boring house for eternity. '
Sebastian stretched, rubbing his tired eyes. He wondered how long he’d slept. He saw Scarlett sitting in the corner of the room watching him, and he grew red. “You are back earlier than I thought.” He picked up the letter and used a nail to tear it open. He read its contents and giggled to himself. “Mr. Mearow thinks I would give you up to live with him? Oh please, he is a fool. I would let a person like you, Scarlett, go to his household. It is a like a reincarnation of hell. It is pure torture.” His gaze fell upon her. It was soft, but also intimidating. “Why must you sit by yourself? Come here.” Sebastian sat up himself so he did not make things awkward. “Why not have a chat? We need to have one.”
Scarlett was brought out of thought and turned her attention to him "i was sent to fetch a letter how long did you expect me to be gone for?" She asked curiously, she raised a brow at his next words were people really asking for her to be their Thrall? Why her Jesus Christ why was this so weird, she looked eyes with him for a moment and she looked away "why would I have to sit on the bed just to have a conversation? " she did so but it didn't hurt to ask a question now did it? She made her way over to the bed and sat down on the corner "what is it? "
Sebastian let out a breath. “Well, yes, but time distorts all. So does sleep. I could not tell if you had been away for 13 seconds or 5 minutes. It all was the same to me.” He smiled at her. It was a warm smile compared to the past hours. He was starting to warm up to her presence. He was trying to be a nice master compared to the other vampires. “Because my bed is more comfy than that chair. It is cushioned and has soft blankets.” He watched her move about and sit near him. At least it was an improvement. “Where would you like to sleep? You have a few choices. I will not object to any. I can try to find a suitable room, you can sleep on the floor, or take over my bed. I can sleep about anywhere.” Sebastian stared into Scarlett’s eyes. “And I might know what your next order may be.” He looked at her lips, his face getting red. He shook his head. “Dear, I do not know what has gotten into me, but please choose an option.”
She shakes her head and leans on one of the bed posts "your bed is… Okay I suppose, but it is nothing to praise, it's only a bed- and I didn't think vampires sleep in beds… That's what my grandmother told me when I was young.
She took a minute to process the question before answering " you said that you needed me by your side so that way when you need blood it's there, but now you ask if I wish to have aroom? "
Sebastian thinks about it. “Well, yes, it is only a bed, but it is my bed. It is of comfort to me and maybe to you. Who knows? You might like it.” He put his hands in his lap, smiling. “Your grandmother was, indeed, wrong. We are not archaic. We do sleep like normal humans. It is still part of our lifestyle.” He looked away from her, his face slightly red from his thoughts. He listened to her attentively. “I suppose, but I can also get up and move. All my muscles work. If you wished not to be by my side then you can choose another place to sleep.” He wanted to kiss Scarlett. Blood links were scary.
She rolled her eyes and looked at him "a-are you tried g to flirt with me? She asked with a slight smirk and she straightens up a little bit and her stare looked as if she was mocking him " I suppose my grandmother isn't always right… And if the case is that you can walk then I'd like a different room or to sleep on the floor. "
Sebastian looked at her, growing red. “N-no! I’m not trying to flirt at all!” He moved closer to her. “I was mistaken, dear Scarlett. I do need you by my side just in case. You can sleep in my bed. It is warm and comfortable. It is better for you than the floor or anything else. I can go lay somewhere else.” He looked into her eyes. “I can sleep anywhere, remember?”
Scarlett was taken back by his sudden outburst when he moved closer she moves back why the hell was he being so..odd looked at him for a moment and raised a brow "um… Okay why the sudden change why exactly do I have to stay in here? "
Sebastian tried to compose himself. Convincing this green-eyed wonder was going to be difficult. How was he going to break her? He wasn’t exactly like the others. He wouldn’t break her using their ways. He took in a deep breath. “Okay… okay.” He sat up. “Because I have not fed off another human quite like you. I need to get my strength up… I’m pretty thin, am I not? I am not supposed to be this thin, so yes, you were right the first time.” If only he had not fucked it up, but her choice made him realize a few things. That is why he needed to switch it up. “I do need you close to my side in case I become hungry. It will be easier for us, yes? I thought I would be able to switch between rooms, but thinking about recent things, I think not..” Sebastian hoped his change in the story didn’t discredit him.
Scarlett sighed and crossed her arms listening to him so at out his new story and she shook her head "I don't suppose I have a choice, if your health is on the line then fine I shall stay in here if that is what you wish for me to do. " she didn't believe his story for a second but for whatever reason he didn't want her to go and she wanted to find out why
Sebastian blinked but decided not to dilute his story further. He didn't want another disaster. After all, curiosity killed the cat… well, it wouldn't kill Scarlett. He would try hard not to do that. Very hard. "Er, yes, my health is on the line. Without a… Constant supply, I could die." Really? That is what you have got? She knows you are lying. It is obvious. He sighed. He had already fucked it up, and she decided to give in for— some reason he did not know. "That is what I wish you to do… yes." Despite all of his obnoxious advances, he tried not to sound happy or relieved.
She sighed "yeah your health… We must keep the dead man alive," she scoffed looking around the room, "so I think it makes more sense if you take the bed to your own room don't you think? "
Sebastian tilted his head. “Well, dear Scarlett, I was born this way. I cannot be dead if I have not died.” He patted the empty side of his bed. “You can lay here, my dear. I will lay on the floor to make it less awkward.” The vampire was slightly red in the face, and he tried to get rid of the color. “I do not want you to be uncomfortable. As I said, I can sleep anywhere.”
Scarlett looks at the side of the bed that he patted "….. I was meaning I can stay in this room but your bed is your bed… "
Sebastian hissed in annoyance. “Fine. I will sleep in my eternal grave, and you can sleep on the floor.” He got out of his bed, opened the door to his room, and left momentarily. He came back with a sheet, a blanket, and a pillow. He laid the sheet on the floor, laid the blanket on top, and placed the pillow at the foot of the sheet. “Tell me how comfortable that is.” He rolled his eyes. Peaking out of his black curtains, he saw the sky had started to brighten. “I was going to go find a person and kill them, but it is too late for that.” He walked closer to Scarlett, rounding the length of the bed, and tapped her on the side she occupied. He grabbed her to write and dragged a thumb against her jaw. “Shall I feed off of you? Or wait until the next ‘morning’?”
Scarlett was amused by his hissing she knew she had annoyed him but she didn't necessarily care at that point in time, she stood up when she entered the room once more and she laughed a little when he 'made the bed' on the floor "I'm sure it will feel just like home, thank you, " she replied a small hint of amusement still in her voice, when Sebastian grabbed her and she froze for a moment but only for a moment before she stood straight "if you feel that's what you need then you may feed now or later . "
Sebastian's grip on her wrist tightened. "You annoy me. You know that, right? I could have made slept on the cold, hard floor, but no, I actually got bedding for you." He pulled her down closer to his face. "So get that amusement out of you goddamn voice. Any attitude you have shall leave your mouth." He let go of her and got into his bed. Sebastian curled up on himself, leaving Scarlett untouched. She could, perhaps sneak out if she wished. The door was open.
