Sam cleared his throat, adjusting his tie absently. "Arik has given us use of the gate room, so we should leave promptly," he said before turning to walk down one of the seemingly endless hallways
Sam cleared his throat, adjusting his tie absently. "Arik has given us use of the gate room, so we should leave promptly," he said before turning to walk down one of the seemingly endless hallways
Lata followed behind Sam. She just hoped she'd be able to help in some way. She didn't want to just stand there unable to do anything.
Orion follows, feet padding silently behind them, bringing up the rear. Making sure that he can keep an eye on his entire family.
Sam opened a door off to the side. He stepped inside into a lavish hallway lined with doors of all shapes and sizes. Sam slowed, beginning to walk along the hall while his eyes scanned the doors
Lata glanced around, holding the crystal Lucy had given her in one hand. It seemed like the hall they were in went on for an eternity. She just hoped the door they were looking for wasn't at the very end.
Sam made a small noise of relief as he stopped in front of a large, red iron door outlined in gold. There was a gold nameplate on it that read something in a strange language. “Here we are.”
Lucy’s lips pursed into a frown as she looked up at the nameplate. She didn’t recognize the language. She also felt a bad sort of vibe coming from that area. Now, she was wondering if it was the best idea to bring Lata along. The last thing she wanted was for Lata to get hurt during the rescue mission.
(If Lata could read minds, she would protest like: Lucy, thanks for caring but I am going to help you guys.)
Lata stood behind Sam, looking at the door. The writing was a bunch of fancy swirls and signs that she didn't recognise. She took a deep breath, trying to ready herself for what may happen. It was quite useless though, simply because the world was strange and different.
(Lmaooo she just gets worried about little kids, she’s a bigggg Mom in that way lol)
“Everyone ready?” Sam asked, hand going to the curved handle of the door
(Lata is just there, still semi-unused to people caring about her so…)
Lata nodded in agreement. There was only going forward at this point.
(Gonna revive this cuz I’m bored)
Sam pulled the door open, its rusty iron hinges creaking as he did so. “Come on,” he said before disappearing inside
(aaaaa yes reviveeeee)
Cautiously, Lata took a few more steps closer. Taking a breath, she entered in after him.
Orion enters last, casting a glance behind him as he does so. He will protect his family. Woe be the one who tries to hurt them.
(Hey! Welcome back, Ca1! Hope you're feeling better)
They stepped out into a large, busy courtyard full of statues that stretched hundreds of feet tall. In front of them stood the enormous coliseum, which was made of stone and some strange rust-colored metal that pulsed with faint orange light as though there was circuitry in the metal. “Welcome to the Molhaven Coloseum,” Sam grumbled
Lata was in awe of how large it was, but frowned when reminded of its purpose. She grasped the crystal in her left palm as she continued surveying the area. She felt so small in a place like this.
Orion looked around, and as he does his posture changes. Walk becoming fluid, and shoulders untensing. A predator comfortable in his own skin.
Sam led them up to a set of large iron gates, strange writing in glowing yellow decorating the tops of it. Sam takes a deep breath before walking through, and he breathed a sigh of relief when their tickets function without issue. He leads them into the coliseum, and as they enter they find that the building is actually far, far more massive than it seems. They’re about halfway up in the rows, and he leads them down where they can just barely see the announcer standing on a hovering metal platform towards the middle of the dirt arena
Orion looks around, memories singing to him from all around. Swords clashing, piercing a Guardian through-Ripping a throat out with his teeth-Gutting someone with a dagger-Laughing, covered in blood-Battles he shouldn't have won. Shaking his head to clear it, Orion turns to Sam. "What kind of distraction do we need?"
“Wait for Zashi to do the announcements. We’ll give them five minutes of fight time before you jump in. If you can, the best idea would be to act like you’re being thrown in for the gladiators to fight, but then turn around and start destroying the stadium. Without hurting anyone, at least not civilians. But if you see any gods that look like they're midgod or higher, start running. For example, them,” Sam said, pointing at the announcer and the man he was talking to. “The announcer is Zashi, god of music, and he’s talking to Volt, god of electricity. Stay away from them, and if you see Fierte, run immediately.”
Orion shrugs. "Gods don't bother me. I'll get them out. How much destruction do you want? When I get thrown down there, thing might get….c h a o t i c ."
Sam gave him a look. “You need to control yourself. There are people here you have to be careful not to harm. This stadium is full of neutrals and people still fighting against Inspa, as well as powerful gods you don’t want to anger. No casualties, just structure damage.”
Orion nods once. "Will do Sam, will do. I know my strength. I will not harm any who do not harm me first, is that acceptable?"
Sam nodded. “Yes, that’s acceptable. I just don’t want anyone who doesn’t need to be harmed hurt.”
