"This is really weird. Did you do anything to it?"

"No, after I got the sap off of it I just put it back in its sheath in my boot…" he pulled the mangled sheath out of his boot

"I think it might have something to do with the sap…"

Jordan blinks slowly, ignoring what Niko had said to him

Layla slipped down from the tree and walked over to the group, "So this tree thing it's called the Jordan tree? Why is there a Niko tree."

"Seriously, you look terrible."

Jordan looks up at him, "Huh?"

"I know… I feel dead but I'm still walking…" he stopped pacing "this place needs a person to sleep… it's why you guys are perfectly fine… mostly…"

"You…Never mind."

Jordan scratches his head and slumps where he sat

"Tell me, nothing will surprise me at this point."

"It would be hard."

"Do I look skeletal? if not then I'm fine… hell the only reason I'm here is because… nevermind"

Jordan stands, not bothering in dusting himself off or fixing his bedhead

"What are you doing?"

"At this point, I have no idea… at first I was trying to stay awake but I think I'll just pass out on the grass."

"Go to sleep." Niko said firmly, "You will go to sleep and stay sane unlike some people."

"fine…" he lied down in the worn grass from his pacing and fell asleep almost instantly.

Niko looked over him and went back to inspecting the knife

Jordan crouches near Niko, "What's that?"

The knife had small vein-like vines that lead from each thorn to the base of the blade.

"Arioch's knife. It touched the dap and now it's like this."

"Huh. Better than what happened to me."

the knife heated up a little as Jordan got closer.

"Careful. It's sharp."
