Reyzuken's attention was once again brought around. His head raised, observing. The dragonelle who had once been laying on the other side of the lake had started to approach. The spines along his back remained mostly raised, alert. The feathery dragon blinked, his teal eyes watching. His pupils were slightly rounded, showing he was mostly relaxed.
Neither of the dragons seemed to be hostile. In fact, it seemed the pair were rather curious. Which was to be expected, especially when you came across other dragons. Reyzuken was not quite familiar with these parts, so for all he knew, these new lands could offer him a whole new experience. Though he wouldn't complain. Despite his age, the dragon was considered young. So there were things even he was still learning.
The feathered beast once again bowed his head in respect as the female approached, straightening again. His voice remained in a calm tone as he spoke to her, "Your guess is as good as mine m'lady if this territory is taken. I simply came for my throat was dry."
Reyzuken's head turned as the other dragon suddenly slipped into the water. The dragon blinked a bit at the younger dragon, but it seemed he knew what he was doing. Sure enough, the other rose up from the depths where head dived, a fish in his jaws. Reyzuken watched for several moments, allowing the young one to answer the dragonelle about her question of fish before he spoke again.
"Hm, though I will say I am not familiar with these lands, coming from further away. Oh forgive me, the name I go by is Reyzuken."
The feathery dragon offered the other two dragons a small, kind smile.
(Let me know if any conflicts I'm setting up don't fit with world. I can change this if necessary)
Faster. Choellia had to travel faster than she ever had before, gliding through the dirt like water. Each pulse of movement spurring her onward was agony to the torn flesh of her wing, but if she stopped now they would smell. They would find her and they would exact their revenge, which in hindsight was entirely justified, but what can you do. Revenge wouldn't be so kind as a torn wing. Not for the first time, she considered it a good thing she didn't rely on flight.
Here should be the border. Just a little more, and maybe they wouldn't be able to follow her. Or, better yet, she was beginning to sense a large body of water just ahead. Surely, even if they could track her underground, they wouldn't be able to track it in running water?
On impulse, she dove up.
Immediately, she regretted it. She swam at a snail's pace compared to before. And water was everywhere, crushing her, getting in her nose, eyes, mouth. Fish darted away. Had the water been so deep when she sensed it from underground? She forced herself upward, nearly drowning, until finally, finally! her head broke the surface of the water and her wings, still functional for the most part, splashed the water in a glorious, mighty arc. Treading, she coughed out some water and looked up to assess her surroundings.
Her gaze met that of three (three?) dragons, all at least twice her size.
"Uh, hello?"
Myst breaks a gentle smile across her face, her eyes fair and peaceful. This is possibly the longest she's gone without exercising, other than sleeping at night. Even her breaks to eat a meal are short and rushed. As the curious looking dragon sprung so lively out of the water with a fish in his mouth, he plopped it down in front of Myst.
"It would appear that there are fish in the lake! Going into the center probably would have scared them towards you!" Myst thanks him with a mild chuckle and a nod. The fish flops in desperate attempts to grasp at it's life as Myst opens her mouth and grab the fish with her teeth, lifting her head to help it slide down as she swallows it whole. The other dragon speaks, his voice carrying a strange sense that causes an unfamiliar vibe to radiate off of him.
"Hm, though I will say I am not familiar with these lands, coming from further away. Oh forgive me, the name I go by is Reyzuken." Myst blinks slowly in acquaintance with her new friend and offer him a modest curtsy.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Reyzuken. My name is Myst." Just as Myst spoke, the water in the lake splashed loudly, a figure gasping and choking sprung up from the water. The creature, what seems to be another dragon, tread through the water until they finally looked up, noticing the three strangers that stood in front of them.
"Uh, hello?"
Myst blinks her eyes blankly at this smaller creature.
"Hello?" She responded in her friendliest voice. "Do you, um, live down there?"
((OOC: @Evanescent Mettle, Post is good, works just fine))
Reyzuken nodded, allowing the female's name to be turned over a few times in his head. The dragonelle went by the name Myst. The feathery beast's head turned again, awaiting the younger dragon's voice.
Though a sudden noise caused Reyzuken instantly bristle. The spines along his back flared upwards, showing his alertness. His eyes narrowed, pupils thin slits nearly lost in teal. His forked tongue flicked out, testing the air. The dragon's head turned, hearing splashing and coughing. The other was quite small, especially when compared to the few dragons present.
The feathery dragon's eyes shifted, taking note of the small dragon's wings. A frown appeared on Reyzuken's muzzle, noticing the torn membrane. He took a few steps towards the newest dragon, leaning his head down to her level.
"Hm…you are injured…come here, perhaps I can do something about that wing."
Reyzuken kept his voice low, trying to not sound demanding to her. The feathered dragon simply preferred to not see others in pain and would rather help another out if he could.
