(Alrighty)
Shayne, who was leaning against the wall, turned towards Joanna as she paced towards him.
“You’re not going with them?” He asked, still chewing his bubblegum.
She shook her head standing in front of him. "They've got something they don't know is there. I can tell. Anyways, can I help you with the flyers? Or am I not allowed?" She asked looking up at him.
“If you want to I guess, they’re gonna take a bit of time though and I don’t want you to miss any of your classes” Shayne explained as he rubbed the back of his neck nervously. There was the slight sense of warmth that he got from Joanna, it was pleasant to say the least.
She smiled a bit. "Skipping classes? Now I'm totally helping you out." She laughed laying a hand on his arm. "Let's go!"
Shayne let out a soft sigh.
“Oh what am I gonna do with you?” He laughed a bit as he guided her towards his club’s room.
It was known by many that Shayne was a member of the Music Club but not a lot of people knew that he was the club’s second-in-command.
Opening the club’s door, he greeted the members and the club’s prez with the words…
“Good morning you idiots…” it helped that he was a senior amongst the club members. Those words were normal within the room after all.
All the members’ eyes, though, were on Joanna. Not a lot of girls would come into the club room, especially not with someone from the club.
Joanna wasn't a normal girl though. Standing at 5' even and with maroon colored hair she kinda stood out. She gave a smile and a wave standing beside Shayne. "Good morning! I'm Joanna!" She chirped.
All of the junior males almost melted when they saw her smile but ended up giving her a wave before they started whispering somethings to each other, the words were inaudible unfortunately.
“So… what do you want me to do?” Shayne asked the club’s president quite abruptly.
“Duh? Remake the flyers and posters of course” the man said, looking at the screen of the notebook in front of him.
Those words made Shayne sigh heavily. Truthfully speaking, he had spent an hour or two on both of the files combined and to say that they were practically gone annoyed him deep down.
Joanna tried to ignore the starring and whispering, so she lay her hand on his shoulder with a sympathetic look. "Hey, I'm here to help. What can I do?" She asked trying to be as helpful as she could be.
"Say the word and I'll make it happen."
“Well, I think the files of the symbols and backgrounds should still be accessible so…” Shayne gestured to the other laptop which was on the table beside the club president “… arrange them together in a file in whichever form you’d like. That would be the posters’ format by the way” he said as the president stood from his seat.
“Sorry to bother you and your girlfriend” the prez mentioned as Shayne turned almost completely red, turning to the president and stuttering to say the words: “W-W-We’re not— uh…”
Joanna had turned to gather the files, but whipped back around at the word girlfriend.
She knew Shayne would deny it, but part of her wished he wouldn't. She knew he would have to though. So she spoke for him.
"Sorry, actually me and him are just friends. But please, continue." She said glaring at him. She wasn't liking this guy. Not in the least.
“Oh I see, sorry about that” the club president giggled a bit upon hearing Jo’s response. He then walked away to help with the other members’ instruments.
“A-Alright…” Shayne was soon able to calm down after that encounter.
He sat down on the seat the president was on earlier.
“There’s another chair there” he gestured to the stool that was leaned against the wall. The only area left to work was the same table as Shayne, which meant that they have to sit beside each other and may have to experience physical contact in some way.
Joanna smiled at him softly and turned to grab the stool. She picked it up and brought it over beside him.
"So, what do we have to do?" She asked sitting on the stool. She leaned forward on her wrist a calm look on her face. Her lips were pursed but still in a smile, and her eyes were wide with anticipation yet she still read off as calm.
“Basically piecing everything back together, the files should be stored in the same folder… hopefully at least…” Shayne mentioned, checking the folder named ‘PosterImages’. Inside were up to fifty or perhaps more than fifty different images which were going to be pieced together somehow.
“Do you have any ideas on how it should look like?” He asked, turning towards Jo and realizing how close she was to him. He tried to not mention it, but his reaction was too clear to hide.
She slid back a bit, assuming the look he gave off was uncomfortable. She thought before speaking.
"I'm not usually the creative type. So I'm no help there, but do you have some examples?"
“Eh? Uh…” Shayne stood up and reached for the portfolio that was on top of the shelf beside the desk.
“These are the ones from last year and the year before” he explained them while showing them to Joanna. The one he said was the one older of the two was quite colorful and vibrant while the one from just the year before looked a bit mysterious and dark. Perhaps there was a change in staff members.
She tapped her chin looking at the two pictures. "We don't want to do that again." She said pointing to the super colorful one.
"Maybe more muted but not as dark and dull as that one." She said tapping the dark one.
"Maybe something calming but colorful."
(Seriously take your time- I'm just bored so- Bump?)
(Uh no, I wasn’t lacking off… I seriously thought I already replied XD)
“Right…” Shayne said in a soft voice as he surfed through the files in the computer folder.
“Maybe these could work?” He mentioned as he showed Jo the files of pictures including music notes, both colored and monochromatic, microphones, speakers, shadows of people, and so on.
(You're good! I just assumed you got busy TBH I wasn't gonna rush you.)
She looked at it and a smile grew on her face. "I like that." She hummed again leaning on her palm.
"What's your opinion? I mean you are in charge of this whole thing." She chuckled a bit before turning back to him.
