"You have sweat running down you face!" She blurted, "You need to cool off!" Squeezing the rest of the water onto her head, Joan flung the empty water bottle into a trash bin.

Sitting on the stone hedge that surrounded his father's house, Eli watched as cars pulled in and out of the post office from down the street. Evan town was a nice place, full of stray dogs and hardly any cats, there was hardly a moment of silence because of the barking.

Hailey ran down Dewmont Drive looking for a her brother’s lost ball. She saw her classmate Eli sitting outside his house.
“Hey, Eli! Have you seen a soccer ball roll by?” She asked.
"No… And if I did… Uh… I don't think I would have noticed it… Mainly because there are tons of ball around here because of the numbers of stray dogs." He looked down at the ground, "Like that one." He pointed to a small blue dog ball, "All sports balls look the same to me, dog-toy or not." Looking up at her, he asked, "So, is this little ball your brother's toy?"
