Ok
you know what never mind i'm just going to do the summary now
this is going to take a while
At the beginning of the earth, the fae ruled the earth. Emberites flocked in the volcanoes, merfolk roamed the depths of the sea, and the Wild Hunt roamed the skies, daring anyone to cross their path.
One day, a god named Prometheus, a prince of the Wild Hunt, created a lover for himself. He fashioned a figure out of clay by the riverbank, hardened it with fires from the earth's core, and breathed life into it with a kiss. The figure came to life and became the first man, Adam.
Prometheus granted Adam part of his magic (creation magic), and the two lived happily for a while. However, Adam wanted a wife, not a husband, so he made Eve and left Prometheus. Heartbroken, Prometheus faded into the shadows. Adam and Eve ended up starting the human race and giving the gift of magic to their children.
Several millenniums later (give or take a few), the humans started to grow restless. Why must they always obey the fae, who were wild and unruly? they asked, forgetting that it was a faerie who gave them the magic in the first place. They started to become "civilized," fashioning new inventions and weapons, and fought back against the fae with them in the Great War, killing off 75% of the faerie population. The gods and goddesses were trapped in the realm of the Ether (another dimension) when humans started to forget about them. Over time, they grew twisted and rotten with their bitterness and turned into demjins, or demons, waiting to unleash revenge on the human population once they were finally free. They polluted the Ether with their malice, causing a shadow realm called the Nether.
Most of the humans forgot about magic and the fae once the gods left, losing their powers and building civilizations. However, some still remembered. They built an organization called the Mageus so that magic would not die out with the human race. They traveled through time and space (but mostly space, the time ships are super rare) using flying ships, invented when a Mage named Peter Pan stole the secret of flight from a fae.
The barrier between the Nether and the Earth started to grow thin, and soon enough, minor demons started to break through, having illegal offspring. Those offspring were tracked down and raised by the remaining fae and taught to hate humans, for the humans would never help, much less love, a fae. They started an organization of their own to counter the Mageus, called "The Order of the Fallen." They attacked Mageus ships and stole back the magic from the Mageus (the magic was theirs first), working to unleash the former gods back into the world. If that ever happens, virtually all of the humans will die, but hey, the humans did that to them first. (you will notice that i'm more on the side of the fae haha) However, they also help faeries whose habitats were harmed by humans, or faeries who were assaulted by Mageus. Neither side is entirely evil.
So pretty much the Mageus are working to destroy the Order, and the Order is working to bring the demons back and kill all of the humans. The Mageus also look for magical artifacts that was destroyed in time by life wars or something, and they rescue it and replace it with a fake so that they won't disrupt the fabric of time. The Order started doing that as well after the Mageus used the artifacts against them.
The artifacts are more potent when they're made by humans who have never learned magic in their life, and unknowingly use it anyways. (the David statue could be used as an almost invincible warrior when activated with magic [like an automaton], the wings made by Daedalus actually fly, the Mona Lisa is an oracle who will grant answers to people who need it the most… in exchange for a heavy price [think Gamora price]).
The Mageus are also looking for "the lost city of Atlantis," where all of the illegal demon offspring are raised until they're old enough to fight. Atlantis is a large underwater city covered with a glass dome that filters the oxygen out of the water. Some just want to help the offspring because they they never did anything wrong, but some just want to bomb the place. Atlantis is actually located near Nikumaroro Island. Amelia Earhart was actually a Mageus pilot who found it and was going to break the glass dome around it, but once she saw that there were children there, she couldn't bring herself to do so and kamikazed herself. Touched, the Order made her the patron spirit of Nikumaroro Island and turned her into a living tree. If any faerie wants sanctuary from the Mageus, all they have to do is run to the island, and they will never be hurt, for the Nikumaroro tree kills anyone who tries to hurt another person on its island. (only faeries know this though)
This sounds really cool, can I join?
That is pretty cool
If you want to RP as a Mageus, here are the certain positions on the boat:
Captain (or Master, but that's only used by really harsh captains) - You are in command of the ship and is basically in charge of every major decision the crew makes. The captain is chosen by the crew. (0/1)
Mate (or 1st Mate, 1st Officer) - You are in charge of the on board day to day running of the ship. You also make sure that everything on the ship is running smoothly. (so like the group mom) You are also the right hand man of the captain. You are in charge if the Captain is N/A. (1/1)
2nd Mate (or 2nd Officer) - You can talk to the ship's "spirit," or what fuels it. (every ship is fueled by a fae or the spirit of a dead mage. Tinkerbell was a faerie who was kidnapped by Pan and used as a fuel source, but now, that's considered inhumane, so they use spirits of former captains.) Therefore, you can control where to go, so long as you have the captain's permission. (0/1)
Bosun (or 3rd Mate / Officer)- You take care of the ship and answer to the 1st Mate. (0/1)
Chief Engineer - You are in charge of the artifacts on each boat (if you find an artifact, you usually get to keep it on your boat) and responsible for the upkeep and proper use of them. (0/1)
2nd Engineer - You basically help the chief engineer (and do all of the jobs the Chief Engineer doesn’t want to do…) (0/1)
Medic - You are the onboard nurse and are responsible for the medical side of things and lots more… (0/1)
Cook - You make potions for the crew to drink in battle. (the mageus like to say that they came up with the idea of potions, but they actually stole it from the fae. so in the beginning of the first Great War, they were like, "nah, fuck this, potions are hedonistic and barbaric" and then the fae started winning all of the battles, so the humans stole the potion idea and made their own) Ironically, the ship's spirit provides the food, so the cook doesn't actually cook, just suggests to the 2nd Mate what they want the spirit to make for dinner. (0/1)
Bosun’s Mates - There are usually two Bosun’s Mates per ship, both are volunteers from the staff. The Bosun’s Mates help the Bosun with anything needed. One of them will become the Bosun if anything happens to the Bosun. (0/2)
Cook’s Apprentice - Usually, there is one Cook’s Apprentice per ship, who is also a volunteer. If anything happens to the Cook, they are the new Cook. (0/1)
Staff - Lower-class warriors who aren't strong enough to receive a position. There are usually around ten to fifteen on a boat. (No limit, because I highly doubt that more than fifteen people will join)
Passengers - Any families of children on the boat. Sometimes, the Mageus will rescue people who are attacked by demons and shelter them on the boat for as long as they like, teaching them magic. If those people want to leave, they must have their memories wiped. (No limit)
This sounds really cool, can I join?
(yep!)
That is pretty cool
(and yep!)
(we need an even number of faeries and mages by the way)
(I kinda wanna join as a Demon but I am unsure what happened to them.)
Hold on I’m confused so mages are humans with magic and the fae are creatures whose magic was given to the humans?
Can I join?
The Order gets around by using portals. They have the market cornered on artifact paintings. I already talked about Mona Lisa, I'm still debating whether Starry Night should be a portal or if the stars could work as bombs that are constantly replaced, and Girl With A Pearl Earring is actually a Mage who accidentally trapped herself in a painting. She doesn't have much use as an artifact, but she's like this Iconic Meme among the Order. "i'm hungry" "hi hungry, i'm gwape" (g.w.a.p.e. is their abbreviation for it, since she never told them her real name even when they asked) "this gwape empty chucks the painting yeet".
So there's seven people in a team. There's the Alpha, the Beta, the Delta, the Gamma, the Epsilon, the Theta, and the Omega.
Alpha: The Alpha is in charge of the team. They take care of the team and does everything to ensure their safety. They help train the others and meet with other Alphas to ensure peace. Their life is dedicated to their team. (1/1)
Beta: The Beta is the right hand man of the Alpha. They hold the team together and is shown as the motherhead. Their team is their children. (group mom) They do everything to ensure that they are well and happy. Second in command. (1/1)
Delta, Gamma, Epsilon: They are the team's warriors/defenders. They lay down their lives to protect the team from threats and they train every day to stay strong. They have rotations on who runs patrols. (1/3) (Delta is taken)
Theta: Thetas are there to help wounded members that have been wounded enough to the point they need help. Faeries heal at a faster rate, but that doesn't mean that if their intentions are falling out that they don't need help. (0/1)
Omegas: Omegas are at the bottom of the ranking. And while that may be, there is nothing wrong with being an Omega. Omegas help calm the team and keep the balance. Having so many people in power is dangerous, so an Omega is necessary. (0/1)
They all have to know how to fight!
By the way, there are three teams in one squadron.
Can I make 2 characters? A beta and either a delta or gamma
Hold on I’m confused so mages are humans with magic and the fae are creatures whose magic was given to the humans?
(kind of. yes to the mages, but the faeries still have some magic. however, they depend more on their innate abilities [for example, emberites are basically like the flame princess from adventure time. they are made of fire, but do not light their surroundings on fire unless they lose control, like the hulk. ironically, they are the most calm of the faeries.] than spells and potions.)
Can I make 2 characters? A beta and either a delta or gamma
(sure!)
Can I join?
(sure!)
(I kinda wanna join as a Demon but I am unsure what happened to them.)
(so the major demons, like former gods (bastet, zeus, thor), are still stuck in the nether. if they ever got out, they'd kill all the humans. but you can be a minor demon, like janus, hecate, or kymopoleia. [yes, i spelled that right without having to look it up!] however, at the best, they are morally grey [like loki] and at the worst, they are pure evil)
