"I can't say now, you'll find out soon enough," Charlie answered. "Well you're helpful," Jenson scowled.
"I can't say now, you'll find out soon enough," Charlie answered. "Well you're helpful," Jenson scowled.
Thanks! I try to be." Charlie said, clearly being sarcastic.
Jenson twisted a silver band on his middle finger, as he always did when things didn't feel right.
They finally reached the end of the ride. "That took forever. Where are we? The center of the Earth?" Amara asked. "Ha, no." Charlie answered. They walked out into a large room that was lit by nothing but neon lights lining the walls and ceiling.
"Agh, neon lights…this place just gets better and better," he said, squinting.
(You want to RP the local yokel who explains the whole shebang?)
(I guess so XD)
An older woman seemingly appears out of nowhere. "Good, you made it, there's so much to discuss. Follow me." She walked quickly to the end of the room stopping at a set of double doors.
"Who are you?" Amara asked.
"Patience dear," she said and opened the doors. She walked in and sat at a desk, there were three chairs opposite from her. "Sit children," she said
"I'm not a kid." Amara muttered.
"To me you are, now sit," the woman said coolly. Jenson shook his head slightly and sat.
Amara plopped down in a chair.
"First things first, would either of you like water?" the woman asked politely.
"No thanks." Amara said.
"I'm fine," Jenson said, leaning back in the chair. "Suit yourself, I guess I should explain what's going on now," the woman said calmly.
Amara nodded.
(Sorry…I opened it and forgot to reply.)
The woman took a pen out of a cup and tapped it against her cheek. "My name is Vivienne, and the reason you were given those letters to arrive at this address was for one simple…kind of simple…reason. You two have been chosen to join a group of people to stop a certain organization that's planning something horrible. This is your chance to help save the world. If you accept," Vivienne said, writing something down in a notebook.
Amara leaned forward. "What're they planning that's so horrible?"
"You'll find that out soon enough, but trust me when I say this. Many people will be hurt, and possibly die, if they're not stopped. And right now, we are the only people who know about it," she said. "Woah…" Jenson whispered.
Amara nodded. "Who's the organization?"
"They don't exactly have a name, that we know about, but they're a group of people stationed about 3 hours away from this very building," she replied.
"Huh." Amara rested her chin in her hands.
Jenson looked down at his lap. "So how many of us were chosen? You said there was a group?" he asked. "There will be about five of you,' Vivienne replied, tapping her finger against the edge of her desk.
