I love creating gods for religions and hearing about other people's! you can share some of your favorite gods from your religion, ideas for gods you might have and like to develop, or anything else you want to share.
I'll go first! One of my gods is called Denna, she's the goddess of justice and progress. She stands for societal progress and seeks to achieve justice for the oppressed. She's the hotheaded counterpart to the goddess Disha, (pronounced dee-sha), who stands for the more level-headed politicians, including logic and debate.
Now your turn!
Ohh gods of politics, that's interesting! I don't think I've seen that before :)
One of my goddesses is Matseka, the goddess of night, nothing/void, friendship, and silliness. She also created the universe when she was bored.
That's so cool, I love it! thats so cute and yet also relatable haha
I HAVE SO MANY!
So, we have a kinda liquid god, a god of insanity, a god of music, a god of poison and pain!
So… I'm still working on my deities, but I actually tie some very strange concepts together to make a single god. My most complete set of deities so far are the 4 gods of death. So we've got:
• Spirit Shepherd (Takes care of spirits in between lives, helps the living commune with the newly dead)- Vosskevma [Vahs-kehv-mah]; goddess
• Passing, Doorways, Unfamiliarity, Rites- Per-Osti [Pehr-Austi]; god
• Judge of the Dead- Helvdomm [Helv-dohm]; god
• Cycles, the Moon, Birth, Death, Reincarnation- Leur-Addna [Lure-Ahd-na]; goddess
For some better examples of tying strange concepts together, I have a god named Moordyff. His things are wisdom, foresight, and the depth of the ocean. Then I have gods of the different seasons… I haven't finished those yet, but I do know the goddess of spring, Ivorniach is not only over spring, but also healing, and is the patron of most healers.
