A sacred plant? Some sort of unusual object like a gemstone or crystal? Something along these lines could be iconography within their religion? Or even something like their gods and godesses are formed within different types of precious stones.
I would look to the more chill Native American (and similar) religions. Having a physical and spiritual connection with nature.
But as for objects or places of actual worship, I would go for remarkable wonders in nature. The first tree in a forest. The cave with a lone tree growing it. The river which waters the whole land. And so on and so forth.
Okay, thanks guys. I think I have more of an idea now.
What if the religion was kind of connected to the seelie royal family- almost like they worship the Seelie Queen, or that she's a sort of divine being or something. (The seelie characters kind of take a background placement in my book, but it feels incomplete without establishing some basics for them.) I also think that there could be a separate religion that's more based on nature like you guys were talking about since there usually isn't just ONE religion in a lot of places.
Okay so I've decided that the "Common Seelie Religion" worships the Queen and Royal Family, and that the lesser common religions worship nature and nature magic.
fae are from celtic mythology, so I think the religion could have pagan celtic roots?
also aren't the seelie divided into four subcategories? maybe you could use that for different denominations of a religion (like Protestant Christianity, Orthodox Christianity, and Catholicism)
