yes, but I'm trying to move beyond mythology/urban legends
like do they have a deity? several deities?
do they worship magic (I'm thinking no, that's a little occult for my tastes lol)
stuff like that

Have a deity of madness, chaos and insanity, have anoher who is sanity, etc and then have one who is in the middle.

I think I'll have a guardian/god for each river (since we already talked about that for meminileth), and then a general god over the spring, the Heart of WL

I mean if wonderland is an actualy land and not part of alice's imagionation then maybe theres a god who created wonderland?

I do think it will involve dreams and/or imagination though
maybe each of the magical realms (NL, WL, etc) are products of different dreams/imaginations coalescing into something concrete

I'm thinking about that? but at the same time I feel like it wouldn't be coherent with the rest of the plot
But I do think her imagination was part of those that contributed to it

yes, and that makes it harder to find some of the rivers- some rivers like to be found, others do not

Isn't everything in Earth the opposite of wonderland?
