"Howdy." Annika said to her bunkmake. "Do you need help unpacking?"
"Hello, Tripp." Benjamin said. "There's one bunk left, above Otis over there. I'm your senior counselor, Benjamin, by the way." he said, pointing to a boy with emerald green eyes. "If you need help unpacking, just ask around."
(Wow! Niiiiice. Sorry for the one-liners, I don't get too good at describing things until stuff happens later in the RP :)
"Sure thanks!" She answered to the girl with pretty brown hair "I'm Callyn" she said enthusiastically and reached to shake the girls hand.
"Thanks Benjamin" Tripp said with smile and then walked over to the bunk he pointed out "Hello, I'm Tripp. Is this bunk taken?" He asked the boy.
Annika grinned and shook Callyn's hand politely. "A'ight, just tell me what you need me to do." she said, glancing towards Callyn's luggage. "You can put your stuff in that trunk, your shoes in the cubbies, and your smaller stuff on the shelves." Annika said helpfully, tucking back a wisp of her hair.
Otis shook his head.
"Oh cool" She said opening up her bag " I didn't bring that much stuff" In the bag were a few tshirts and shorts and such and a number of books. "Have you already unpacked?" She asked
"I guess we'll be bunkmates then" Tripp smiled. He flopped his stuff onto the top bunk and unpacked his things. Laying on the top bunk he hung his head over the side. "So what's your name?" He asked
"Yep." Annika said, glancing over at the shelf by her bed that held her hairbrush and a small fan. "So, what do you need help with?" Annika asked.
Otis looked startled. "O-Otis…" he said shyly.
"Can you help me put these away?" She asked picking up the books from her bag "I'm not sure where to put them." She explained.
"Thats a cool name." He complimented and cleared his voice a couple times. "Do you know anyone here?" He asked, the boy seemed shy so he figured he'd try be his friend if he didn't have any others.
Annika picked up the books. “Okay, you can keep them in your bag, put them on the shelf above your bed, or put them in that trunk over there.” Annika said, flipping her long brown hair without hands, because her hair was in her face and her hands were full.
Otis blushed. “Th-thanks..” he said quietly. Then, to the next question, he shrugged.
"I think I'll leave them on the shelf" Callyn decided, putting her clothes into the trunk "thanks for helping me" She said genuinely, Callyn was hopeless with this kind of stuff, even her room at home makes no sense and would be unnavigatable by anyone but her.
"Oh me neither! This is my first year here, what about you?" He asked, his head twitching slightly to the side.
“Yep!” Annika said with a smile. “Anytime!” She sat on her bed and began to draw cats.
Otis shyly shook his head. “Sixth.” he said quietly.
Callyn flopped onto her own bed and grabbed a book off of the shelf to waste time until they got other instructions.
"It must be a fun camp then!" Tripp said excitedly "Whats your favourite activity? I heard theres rock climbing" He asked.
Otis shrugged.
“Alright, y’all! Get ready for dinner!” the counselors said.
Callyn looked up from her book and set it down on the shelf "I didn't get to finish my chaper" She mumbled to herself.
Tripp hopped down from his bunk "I wonded if the food is good here, last camp I went to had horrible food" He said to Otis trying too make conversation which he hadn't been necessarily succeeding at.
Annika tied a sweatshirt around her waist, even though it wasn’t that hot out. She sat on the porch and smiled at Otis, who shyly smiled back. Otis turned to Tripp, not making eye contact and said, “It’s good.”
Callyn went onto the porch, jumped down the stairs and started looking around the cabin.
"Oh that's good" Tripp responded, following Otis out onto the porch.
The cabins left for the dining hall.
"Tacos…" Annika said with stars in her eyes as the cabins sat down at their own tables. Otis simply put meat, cheese, and lettuce on his plate and began eating.
Callyn made up her taco of basically everything she could fit and sat down at one of the tables. Tripp Made a simple taco mostly comtaining cheese and looked around for somewhere to sit, he saw there was a free spot next to Otis. Am I annoying him? Tripp thought
Annika smiled as Callyn sat across from her. She ate her taco, then reached for a bag of chips.
Otis didn't pay much attention to anyone as he ate his shell-less taco. When he had finished, he began writing in a red notebook.
Callyn smiled back at Annika and finished her taco. Tripp eventually settled on sitting by a girl with long brown hair "Is this seat taken?" He asked kindly.
"Nope." Annika said with a smile. "Howdy." she said, taking a drink of her water as the boy sat next to her.
"Thank, I'm Tripp" He introduced himself and sat beside the girl. "I'm Callyn" The girl sitting across from them responded.
"Annika. Call me Nikki, Nika, Anni, Anna (like Frozen), whatever, I don't care. You can even call me Anakin Skywalker if you so desire." she said.
They laughed "Anakin Skywalker thats great. All mine could be shortened into is Cal" She said "Or Lynn but thats my aunts name" Callyn added. "Mine can't be shortened" Tripp said finishing off his taco
“Hm.” Annika said, not sure what to say. Otis simply sat next to her, quietly chewing his lip.
