Clovis squinted in the bright orange light of the sun and started to move forward again, though much more wary and watchful this time. He held onto Molly's hand, mostly because he didn't want her to try and fight it alone and recklessly if anything showed. up.
They marched onward, the three of them.
(I'm on for a few hours!!)
(oke!!)
Fiona glanced over at Clovis and Molly every so often as they walked, making sure she didn't get too ahead of them.
The hours passed drearily and the sun blazed down upon them. They would be waaay too hot if it weren't for the cold breeze blowing through.
Molly played with the rock in her pocket whilst she trudged along, barely noticing Clovis' hand in hers and no longer caring about the strange noise from earlier. However, Clovis still looked about every now and then to make sure no creatures were following.
Molly sighed and looked up to Fiona.
"Sooooooo, how'd you survive the apocalypse?"
Fiona glanced at Molly and smiled "I've told you before, pure luck, I wasn't anywhere near where anything happened and I had enough food…I honestly don't know how I'm not dead by now. What about you?" They continued to walk along and Fiona looked around for any sign of life besides them.
Molly looks to the ground and watches her feet as they walk.
"Fighting. Like mostly everyone. You're probably some evil creep who-"
Clovis elbows her more gently than he should have, but it shuts her up.
He takes a second to glare at her then looks up to Fiona.
"I'm just glad we made it. It doesn't matter how."
The pulls the map out of his backpack and stops to read for a moment.
Fiona chuckled at what Molly thought she was and shook her head silently. She continued to look ahead of them and ignored Clovis' comment, trying to see if she could see the city.
Molly leaned over Clovis' shoulder and glared at the map.
"Great. Is it like not here or something? Did something eat it?"
Clovis half smiles at her exaggeration while still looking down at the map.
"Nooo, we have to walk a bit further. I'd say five more miles?"
Molly looks ahead of them and growls.
"Clovis, I can see five more miles."
He puts the map away and takes her hand again.
"c'mon."
Fiona laughed silently at Molly and started to walk again, she hummed quietly to herself and waited for the others to catch up.
Clovis and Molly run to catch up with Fiona and walk at her pace.
Molly glares over at Fiona.
"What do you bet it's going to be abandoned?"
Clovis sighs and rubs his eyebrows.
"Ugh, please don't bet on that." He quietly says.
(K I gtg right now, I'll be back in a half an hour or so)
Fiona shrugged "Its an honest bet, I say it won't have more that one or two people in it, What about you two?" Fiona glanced over at Molly and Clovis and waited for their answers.
Molly smiles and bites her lips while looking ahead.
"Hmmm, I think the place it completely abandoned."
Clovis groans.
"Way to keep it positive, girls." He says sarcastically.
(Kay, you're fine. I may be gone for a bit too. Brb.)
(k, i'm back for now)
Fiona grinned sarcastically at Clovis "I aim to please." she turned to Molly and asked her "No one? why do you think that?"
She shrugs.
"I don't know probably cause there's NO FOOD OUT HERE."
(I wish more people would join us D:)
(yeah….more people will eventually I hope)
Fioa rolled her eyes and gestured around them "There's food everywhere around here, you just have to know where to look.."
Molly glares.
"Trust me Fiona, I know where to look."
Clovis squeezes Molly's hand, hoping she'll stop talking. He squints into the distance and a smile crosses his face.
"Hey, I think I see some buildings."
Fiona grinned and jogged ahead a little ways "You're right Clovis! there are buildings!" she shouted back to them, giddy with excitement.
A glare of light caught his eye and he stopped, the smile vanishing from his face.
great, they've already captured it
He puts an arm out towards Fiona.
"Shhh! Stay down!" He says in a loud whisper.
Fiona heard Clovis and crouched down, confused at what was happening. She frowned and glanced at Molly before turning back and watching the buildings that she saw.
Clovis still squinted at the building, him and Molly both crouched to the floor now.
"Looks like they've had enough time to get defenses set up. Though that looks like a sniper. Did we by chance tell anyone we were coming?" Molly says.
Clovis shakes his head slightly.
"Not that I'm aware."
He looks over at Fiona.
"Have you by any chance ran into the Cons yet?"
Fiona shook her head "No, why?" she looked over at the building and tried to get a glimpse of the sniper.
He looks back to the glare of light on the snipes gun.
"They're a group of jerks who have been taking over alive towns and making the citizens into slaves."
"Rumors are they're the survivors of the government before the apocalypse." Molly adds.
Clovis sighs.
"How on earth do you hear these things?" He asks under his breath.
Fiona smiled and listened to Clovis and Molly, not interrupting Molly's theory about government survivors. She crouched even lower and crawled a little bit closer to where the sniper could be.
Clovis puts a hand out towards Fiona again.
"Hey! Stay still!" He whispers.
Molly pulls out a gun and shoots at the sniper, sending his body plummeting to the ground from the small wall of the city.
Clovis looks over to her.
"Thanks and good shot, but also, now they know we're here."
She smiles and stands, flipping some hair out of her face.
"that's the point."
Fiona looked back at Clovis just in time to see Molly shoot the sniper, she smiled slowly and stood up, hoping that there weren't any more snipers out there.
Clovis stands and takes his own gun out. He looks to Fiona.
"Can you work a gun? pistol?"
(K im going to go to bed, sry. Gn!)
Fiona nodded "Yup, I like using rifles, but I'm good with a pistol too." she stood up and walked over to Clovis and molly.
(Okay! gn! I'm watching Avengers :P)
Clovis hurriedly takes a pistol from his backpack and hands it to her.
"Sorry. It's all I have."
Fiona gratefully took the pistol from Clovis "Thanks, at least it is a gun." she smiled and aimed it off into the distance to check the sight on it.
The top of the city's wall is slowly lined by men, all handling guns pointed towards them.
Clovis sighs.
"Thanks, Molly." He mutters under his breath.
Molly raises her gun and smiles.
"Well, Fiona, you wont survive by luck this time."
A man dressed in all black holding a loudspeaker takes his place among the soldiers. He raises the speaker to his lips.
"State your name and purpose!"
Fiona sighed and rolled her eyes "Molly, this is not the time." she held her gun up and aimed at the soldiers, not firing just yet.
